how dense are you? Is this the "F-Zero discussion" forum? NO. If you want to talk about F-Zero, make a new thread (if there isn't one already). Get with the program, Ino. I know you're new, but you need to stop with these incessant off-topic posts within threads. You've already been warned once already for this, so maybe you should just think a little more before you post again? Think: "Hm, if I write this, will it really be helpful to the discussion?" AND THE SAME GOES FOR YOU AS WELL, ROYBOY. I'm not dense at all, i'm just replying to the above post. Why, whats wrong with that? I wasn't going off topic, I was....well, maybe a little off topic but still, I'm just replying to the above post, unless I quote something. I think, well enough, but I still post it cause I'd like to see the reaction, but agreed, I'll make that topic and then you can move that post there. I've been warned, indeed, but I shant be needing anymore of 'em.

Um... I was pointing out another thing to add to Jody if you were putting her on the cameos.

I'd always thought that she was a nod to Samus, but I never made the connection to her NES appearance. Nice call. Her first appearance was N64's F-Zero X, so it was still an era when media outside of the games ( Hint, hint) were still playing the hair-guessing game. She's in the same vein as Mr. EAD and James McCloud in terms of referential characters invented for FZX. In GX her story chapter had Captain Falcon escape with her from a time bomb at Galactic Federation HQ. I recall an episode of the anime where they discovered that she had been partly reconstructed as a cyborg, and looking it up I see that in her original FZX backstory her father was dead. Anime spoilers:
Captain Falcon is her supposedly dead brother, Andy Summer! Not relevant, but pretty wacky.
Indeed, I also read up something, and its true, it says that the White Cat, Jody's vehicle was made by The Galactic Space Federation, Does this ring a bell?

perhaps, but "Galactic Federation" and "Galactic Space Federation" are about as generic of futuristic government names as you can get.

Okay. So that stuff can be added if she's going to go on the cameos list, and we can stop talking about F-Zero. Edit: Guys, I may have found another cameo. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Pressstartposter.pngThis is a game-themed movie called Press Start, with one of the main characters being Sam . It also has a sequel, Press Start 2 Continue. Edit 2: This is from Super Paper Mario: "Welcome to Inga's Inn, where you can refill your energy tank in a single night!" maybe a stretch, but I always pick up the simplest of them.

I haven't checked to see if this was already mentioned, so forgive me if it was, but in Spy Kids 3, there's a reference to Metroid by name. When the kids make it to a cliff with lava down below, the main character asks "why does every game have lava in it?" to which another replies "technically that's not true. There's no lava in Halo, and in Metroid, it's molten magma."

That reference is only for the casuals. Lava is surfaced molten magma... And did anything anywhere in any Metroid game say it was molten magma instead of lava?

So, you're pointing out the similar suit design? I think that's stretching it a bit. That's like calling every lightning bolt logo a copy of .

Yeah, I've determined that RoyBoy just thinks Samus/Metroid cameos are everywhere without even trying. It's the same reason why we don't add that Samurai Jack episode.

I'm sorry, but a Zaku II looks nothing like Samus. Or anything in Metroid for that matter. I haven't seen a single Mobile Suit that does... That and Mobile Suit Gundam has been around longer, the original series first aired in '79, several years before Metroid was even conceived, so there's no way it could have drawn inspiration for the robot designs, Zaku IIs also originated from this era. *end nerd/purist rant*
