He might have been thinking about Samus in the back of his mind but I don't really see this as being a cameo.
I will say the hair is alike to Samus being in a ponytail like in her ZS, but I do think it's a bit of a stretch.

Mental is right though-- we need more evidenced.

Earth: The Book A Visitor's Guide to The Human Race (Daily Show Fare, so profanity, vulgarity, occasional nudity, just like America: The Book. In other words, the perfect birthday present for me ) has a short blurb about Metroid on page 223, with a picture of the Metrroid 2 box, a screenshot from the original metroid, and the following between them:

(keep in mind that the book is for aliens who find us after the end)

I'll try to scan the page either today or tomorrow, and don't worry, there's nothing that might break the rules, except some profanity, on that page.

Edit to say that the Pyaback's a bitch statement makes sense in context.

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned this yet, but I can understand, since it wasn't a popular show: Samus made a brief cameo in Spaceballs: the Animated Series. In the episode where Barf, Vespa, and Lonstar go to the video game world, Samus steps out of a crowd at one point and freezes them with her ice beam. I can't find any refernces to this on the internet at all.

That's "The Prince," the Katamari is the ball you roll around. Next to him is Leisure Suit Larry, a green Toad (possibly?) and behind them is a Terminator. This is awesome, but what would be even MORE awesome is if we had the clip... Don't worry, I'm on it.

I'm doing the best I can to remember this:

There is a movie called "Breakfast with Einstein" in which there is a scene where Shia LaBeouf's character's brother? is playing Super Metroid.

I saw this almost 10 year ago, but I'm sure it was Metroid. I've been trying to watch the movie to confirm this but I haven't find it.

Can anybody confirm that cameo?
