Timeline

The Metroid timeline is inaccurate. It says that Prime 2 took place in 2078 and Prime 3 was 2079, when in the Trilogy art booklet it's stated that Corruption took place 6 months after Echoes. I know that part was done on an assumption, but this might mean an entire reworking of the timeline is needed.

Okay, isn't Prime supposed to take place three years after the first Metroid?
Um...yeah, I don't think anyone really likes me, will like me, or agrees with me, so I am just going to resolve the problem by leaving. Bye Metroid Database, I love the site and it alone.

No. It takes place immediately after. Samus tracked the Orpheon directly from Zebes. You can even see it in one of the scans.

Three years? Where was that stated? I don't remember seeing that in the game nor in the manual. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, the game hints that the time between Metroid/Zero Mission and Prime was very short.

http://metroid.wikia.com/wiki/Metroid_Prime and the Wikipedia article about Metroid. They don't give proper citations tho'. Just wondering where they might've got it.

when I said that I meant that there is a 50% chance that 6 months later means the next year.

There's a lot of things on the timeline that need fixing. There is indeed a three-year gap between Metroid and Prime. It'll get fixed eventually. There's other stuff I'm prioritizing.

The manual/art booklet conflicts with in-game info on several occasions. I'd go with the in-game stuff for canon. <3

I know. but the art booklet is the only account that we have of the time difference between Echoes and Corruption. I am aware that in the booklet it says Samus woke up from her coma 1 week after, but in the game it says 1 month after. i believe that game on that one.

The time line needs to be updated to include the events of Other M anyway. I'd start a new topic for that, but this seems like the best place to point that out.

After other m came out the time line was messed up but I think it is fixable all that has to be done is move the prime series to after other m and the mistake in other m is fixed. Correct me if I am wrong but I think dates were only counted in the prime series there are no dates in other m or the early metroid games. People assume that prime has to happen before metroid II but it does not. This is true for one reason in the original metroid the space pirates had metroid on zabes but if they had metroids on zebes they would also have metroids on their homeworld. This would explan the metroids on tallon IV because the space pirate frigate that crashed was carrying metroids causeing the metroid to spread across the planet. A similar event happend in echoes as well and in corruption the metroid on norian could have been the space pirates attempt to slow samus at activating the cannon during the attack. The metroid on elisia are harder to explain but they could be there because the choso created metroids anf maby they kept a few. The new time line would go
metroid
MetroidII
super metroid
other m
prime
fusion
I wealcom any critics so I can fine tune my Idea hopeflly it will work out and nintendo can be convinced to ajust their timeline.

As a side noat I think ridly does not die because of his unique specice you know a human can be revived if they are clinically dead maby ridly is like that exepte he can be revived days later, it would explain how he keeps coming back.
I was wondering if it actually says anywhere that the feds have cloneing tech because I don't think they do.

Yeah, but the very first lore scan in Prime states clearly that the frigate escaped the destruction of Tourian, and that it had a cargo of Metroids (as did the other two frigates).

They didn't have any on their homeworld, because the batch of Metroids they had from Metroid 1 (and the Primes, originally) were stolen from a Federation vessel. The Prime game Metroids are the result of Pirate experimentation with phazon, which causes Metroids to multiply and mutate.

That and the Prime manual explicitly states the events of Metroid 1. We get the sense from the manual that Prime happens not too long after Metroid 1.

I thought we already established that the Prime manual is wrong, especially since it contradicts in-game info. Also, Tourian was destroyed in Super Metroid, along with the rest of the planet. >_>
