THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO CONTRIBUTED! --- Hey everyone, As posted, I am going to be having some 1-on-1 time with Yosuke Hayashi, the director of Team Ninja, as well as a few other Team Ninja members. This is your chance to ask him something. Feel free to post any questions you may have for Hayashi-san and if it's good enough, I'll be sure to add it to my list. Depending on how the interview goes, we should have it up on the MDb sometime next week. Due date for posting these questions is the end of Friday, the 10th. Any questions posted after that time will not be used (this thread will probalby be locked). Obviously, overly rude or childish questions are not going to be used, so think about it, and be respectful.

If you were asked to develop the gameplay for when a new Metroid came out would you stick to the style of Metroid Other M, or would you try an entirely new gameplay altogether?

Did Yoshio Sakamoto ever request personal input on the scenario he wrote for Other M?
What led to the conceptualization of a single Hard mode where Samus was given only one energy tank? Were other kinds of Hard modes, or modes altogether, considered?
Was there anything that you wished you could have added to or even changed in the gameplay of Other M, looking back on the project?
Before Tomonobu Itagaki departed Team Ninja, was he at all consulted or at least contacted during the developemnt of Other M? (I assume OM's development started when he was still with Team Ninja)
Are there any specific gameplay elements of OM's design that you would like to bring into future games you produce?
What was the most challenging aspect of OM's development, compared to other games that you've worked on in the past? (Or) what was the most challenging gameplay element to incorporate?

Are there any plans to make a Ninja Gaiden game on Project Cafe'? Can we expect the same for Dead or Alive? Did Dead or Alive Extreme Beach Vollyball sell better in the west? Or Japan? (No one ask.....)

Are you pleased the way Other M turned out as a whole? If you had the opportunity would you do anything differently or would you change anything in Other M? What are your thoughts on the direction the gravity suit took? Did you like the aura design or the classic one?
Those are the types of Qs im interested in getting answers too. Reword if necessary.

Were there any thoughts of adding a combo system when it came to the melee combat? What led to having doors open automatically, rather than having Samus shoot at them to open them as she did in the past? (There has been one recorded glitch related to this...)

Are you in any way disappointed by the reaction of Other M (sales, reviews, fan feedback)? If the chance was there, would you ever consider working on another Metroid game in the future?
I look forward to reading this. I just hope their not too disappointed by it all. Am I right saying it will be the first "insider" interview related to Other M since Sakamoto's interviews from last September?

There was a cutscene that was worked on for 2 months before it was eventually cut. Could you tell us what it was about?
EDIT: If he says he cannot answer this question, ask for a vague description. Why don't they ever tell us about what they cut from the game that could have made it a whole hell of a lot better?

What inspired Ridley's "life cycle?" Is there any symbolism intended?
Did you research PTSD symptoms for the Ridley scene where Samus breaks down?
Can you tell us what sort of stuff is on the "cutting floor?" Scenarios, monsters, levels, or story elements that didn't make it into the game? Were these cut because they were "bad" or because of the approaching deadline?
What inspired Samus's "fashion sense?"
Who's your favorite character, aside from Samus and why? How about favorite creature?
Should we interpret some of the themes in the game as a suggestion that Samus is an unsuccessful "mothering" figure?
What's your response to fans who felt that the events in Other M weakened Samus as a character and heroine?
Was Phantoon just fanservice, or was he there for any particular reason, or maybe both? Why do you think he was there? Was that THE Phantoon?
