Yeah, that has to do with the dynamic nature of the SQL database that phpBB makes use of to store all of its data. Using relational databases can allow for so much flexibility and data accuracy that it's almost too convenient... You probably won't be able to find a way around decreasing post counts every time a thread is deleted, without majorly recoding the majority of the board as well as restructuring a lot of the database. Waaaaaaay too much of an ass-pain, if you ask me. -Jesse D

Yes, I saw that hours ago. I still don’t believe a post limit is the way to handle it. If we simply set some rules about it, then he can be banned for breaking them. |

One last one, Metroid Guy.
124 posts in one day, I can't imagine how insane it would be to spend all day typing all those bland posts. Speaking of noobs, this kinda reminds me of Mr. Metroid. He popped in the old board for a week or two. He would post when he was going to sleep, just logged on and even posted to see who was online at the momment. We had to remind him it wasn't a chat room. I think he was banned - I don't remember. |

Just noticed a major one: in the PM mailboxes, the “Delete Selected” and “Delete All” buttons ar identical. I only figured out which was which by viewing the source.
And two minor ones: Mods can’t sticky an existing topic. I am pretty sure that is possible on most phpBB boards, so I don’t see why it isn’t here. Also, the drop-down menu for colored text is labelled “Font colour” - I wasn’t aware that we were using Commonwealth English? Whereas the description when you hover over it reads “Font color: text Tip: you can also use color=#FF0000”. I prefer American English, but, it should at least be consistent throughout. And, as long as I’m on the subject, does phpBB allow the color list to be customized? If so, maybe the darker colors can be replaced, like green with lightgreen. |

Yeah, I've noticed that habit seems to exist among webapp developers, regardless of their nationality. "Connexion" is also a popular one I see in code comments. -Jesse D

I say, old boy, there's nothing wrong with the Commonwealth English, as it is the language of the civilised. Have you been civilised yet? I shall have a look into all of this after quashing the Rebellion (which shall commence right after tea and crumpets).
