The Profile and Log in/out ones are map icons, the message, search and memberlist ones are items and I don't know about the FAQ one.

I know CapCom made a separate thread for discussing rankings, but it seems to have been deleted, so I'll just state my suggestions here:

How about having a little sprite right next to your Metroid ranking? It could be like some sort of Medal of Contribution. The Metroid larva sprite :metroid:

could be used for the parallel ranking, and the Omega Metroid from Metroid Fusion could be used for its parallel ranking. For the Metroid ranking, the version seen in Metroid: Zero Mission could be used. For all the other rankings, original sprites would probably have to be made, because the Metroid II sprites would be a bit outdated compared to these three sprites.

Moderators and Administrators could have their own special Samus sprites.

There was something I was going to suggest, but I've forgotten now...

I do like the ranking idea, but we don't want there to be a posting competition. On the old metroid board I frequented there were titles. Of course, I was a mod, so it didn't matter...

OH I remember! This board doesn't appear to support strikeout text (usually [s] [/s]). Is it possible to work that in there?

Also, I have a minor problem with the item podium sprites right next to post titles: it's too hard to tell between the normal one and the "new post(s)" one. Perhaps you could make the different color schemes more noticable?

Updated the no new posts (popular) podium. Just click refresh.
As far as the other suggestions, I'm not so much interested in icons as I am emoticons. But if it comes down to just filling space, I may add a few of those, like items and such.

I think the image at the top of the message board page needs to be updated. Sure, the one already up there with Samus' ship is pretty cool, but don't you think that it could be significantly more vivid?

I like it. Although, the screw attack symbol is a bit plain compared to the background. There's a cool contrast though.
