Can we remove coloured text in the forums? It's getting bit silly now with more and more people using it, then when they start quoting each other it quickly becomes a mess and it starts to resemble message boards from the late 90s, the ridiculously large signatures were bad enough but least can turn them off, coloured text on the other hand.

I dislike you now. Why would you wanna get rid of them? people(admins) said that its fine as long as it's not "Eye bulgingly bright" like Yellow.

Or lacks contrast, like dark green (yours is readable; there have been worse). Though you don't have to stop liking the guy because he doesn't like your silly colors. Speaking of which, isn't your signature blowing the maximum 160 pixels height? Combine that with your love of the quote button and your addiction to line breaking, and we have a terrible waste of space. Don't take this personally; many other users are guilty of the same.

... Sure, I'll get around to removing stuff over time, I might go for a Sonic-y type thing, and I still like 'em, I'm just playin around, thats what I do, cause I'm a person. But I'll remove my Sig, for now, until I'm done with my three games. that being said, I don't wish to get an early banhammer or something so I'll just Shut up for now.

An option to view posts in a single colour would suffice if at all possible in same way we have an option to turn off signatures. Was first thing I turned off when I joined here

Cant say if itwill happen. Not enough people have complained about others' font habits, so we wont make a change like that until there is a demand.

I got it!

Step 1: Use Firefox.
Step 2: Find some annoying color post.
Step 3: Get the GreaseMonkey extension here.
Step 4: Download my user script here.
Step 5: No more colored posts!

I made this up very quickly. Expect me to adjust the code a bit, and probably release it as a GreaseMonkey user script.

EDIT: it's now on version 1.1. The added code prevents that anything outside of a post gets recolored.

EDIT once more: I found a small bug. It seems the code makes text inside spoiler boxes show up without highlighting them. I'm going to fix it very soon. Expect an update by tomorrow.

Cool, how safe is the script? Not to doubt you or anything but gotta be sure on my work's machine.

It just searchers for the HTML containing the posts' contents and sets all color to the forum's default light gray. Don't worry about it.

Though I guess you should wait a little bit before installing so I can fix the spoiler issue.

Erm. wont install, clicking install on the script thingy doesn't do anything..

Did you install GreaseMonkey? I believe it does that sometimes. Try restarting Firefox. If that doesn't work, try reinstalling GreaseMonkey.

Oh, and if you use another browser, there are guides for installing user scripts in Chrome and Opera.
