OH MYGODGOSH! this is a scary game, but i thought that a topic might be needed for people like me to rejoice about it.

what do you like about Slender?

Do you really need to use God's name in vain? Its really offensive.
Slender is a well done indie game. Made me jump but didn't scare me.
Not like most of the YouTube videos I've watched.

I have to agree with VGM here. While what I've seen of the game is undeniably a little unsettling, it's nowhere near the level of minimalist horror that Slendy-series like Marble Hornets manage to pull off. Maybe it's because so many of the series rely on blurring the line between fiction and reality, which is something that doesn't translate very well to a video game format. I don't know, maybe I'm just rambling.

also want to add, the only real reason why ppl get so scared is cause they work themselves up to it.
Well that's what I found. The first FEAR game is undeniably more frightening, now that game made me jump... A lot. Haha.

@ Dr.Icy, so you say Marble Hornets is really scary? Well I'll have to check that out.

@ VGM: Well, not necessarily in the "jump out of your seat" sense, but in the "holy crap is there something behind me oh geez this is bad" sense. So if you're into the latter, check it out, but the jump scares are minimal.

I found out about it and played it today. Yeah..... got pretty damn freaked out, but I guess it was mostly because a friend and I were talking about it for a while and really set the mood for it.

Never played it, but watched some ScareThrough's on Youtube. Definitely unsettling, but I can't say it ever becomes downright frightening until you go into buildings with close corners. Then it becomes pretty suspenseful.

EDIT: I can never seem to beat Slender. he catches up to me quickly.
