Both Watch_Dogs and The Last of Us are looking pretty amazing. I'm really curious about Beyond: Two Souls, too, but I want to see some gameplay before getting excited for it.

Indigo Prophecy had plenty of gameplay. I think Heavy Rain was just misunderstood - too much emphasis on QTE's and depressing storyline turned off too many people.

Indeed; maybe it wouldn't be so bad if David Cage didn't come off as a guy way too proud of himself. The man is a hack through and through.

You nailed it. I had to stop playing a few hours in because I just couldn't get any enjoyment out of the QTEs, or the decisions that rotate so quickly and time out that you end up messing up everything. If you want to make a decision timed, thats fine, thats realistic. But in real life your thoughts aren't rotating around your head so quickly you can't think.

Looks like Nintendo won't be holding a central E3 conference this, instead opting to host several smaller software focused showings.

I like the idea, saves them the need to compete with Microsoft and Sony and let's them emphasize what's most important. It should also hopefully mean more and better press coverage of what they're showing.

It's a peculiar strategy. However it does make some sense because Nintendo has a very large amount of games they could potentially show, most of them exclusives. Might be ideal to not go head-on with the new consoles, but it might obscure them in the mainstream media. We'll see.

There's a 0% chance of being true, but I would be cool with that.

I hadn't even heard of Startropics. I looked it up and read a little about it, looks good. Wouldn't mind seeing what they can do with it but I guess that means I have to add the original to my backlog, doesn't it?

Living in Austin and all... I'm just excited to be able to go to a Best Buy and play Nintendo's E3.

The closest one to me I think is 45 minutes away. Not too bad, but not sure if I'll want to do it. Guess I'll have to watch the Direct to find out if it's worth the trek.
