Microsoft's conference was pretty boring. Kinect Star Wars seems it would be awesome if it used buttons. Halo and Forza were the best parts, but not by much.

EA was EA. Mass Effect 3 and The Old Republic were the coolest games shown. Need for Speed was disappointing and the rest was EA Sports crap.

Ubisoft... They just showed a New SMB Wii-style Rayman that looks pretty cool. Am expecting Asssassin's Creed and possibly Prince of Persia.

I am f*@#$%g stoked for Gears 3 and Mass Effect 3. Halo 4 is just a gimmick to give the fanbase more Halo when Reach should have been the last in my opinion.

I take it you never saw the secret ending of three. It was a given that there was going to be a Halo 4.

In truth I could care less about Halo 4. It's a big name game that I don't want, and can't get because I have a PS3.

Anyways, the Microsoft confrence sucked. The only good game they announced was Halo 4, and playing Ghost Recon with Kinect was just a joke. (Along with every other Kinect related thing except for Sesame Street. It looked decent for what it was)

Couldn't catch the Sony conference, but I checked, and the only interesting thing was the Vita price, which is cheap as heck.

The problem with Sony was that it lacked surprises. We already knew about Uncharted 3 and Resistance 3, as well as the NGP (and there were many rumors about it being called Vita) and some of its games (the ones we didn't know about were fairly obvious, like LittleBigPlanet and ModNation Racers). The best piece of it was, for me, the $499 24" 3D HDTV that allows two players to view different images simultaneously. Sounds pretty darn cool.

I believe the technology behind that TV is pretty much the same of all 3DTVs, but instead of showing two times more frames, it shows four times more, being two frames for each player. Makes you wonder how far this idea can go to allow more players to play simultaneously, since regular 3DTVs are already a bit choppy because of the way they work.

I'm excited for Halo 4 and Anniversary. Mass Effect 3's Kinect use looks interesting, but isn't a hardware seller for me.

During the EA Conference there was a lot of Mass Effect 3 stuff, and the new melee looks awesome. I cannot wait.

Ubisoft showed off a lot of Assassins Creed Revelations... the cinematic trailer AND gameplay demo were phenomenal... running across sinking, flaming ships? Yes please.

Mass Effect + Assassins Creed = my two favorite franchises made during this generation (as in new franchises.)

Watching G4 now and all the Nintendo lanyards are Zelda themed. Can't wait. Year of Zelda.

The Nintendo part is over. There was literally no mention of Metroid. It's gone from all of their logos even. They showed dozens of logos of key Nintendo franchises at one point with everything from Zelda to Animal Crossing, and the Metroid logo wasn't there. This saddens me.

Most heartbreaking part of the show: seeing a futuristic screen while they were talking about games for the 3ds, heart pounding with anticipation of a new metroid, and seeing Fox come on screen and jump into an arwing still nice show, and a new smash bros yay

Hey, is the new console just that controller working in conjunction with the wii? If so, then I might be able to afford it without dipping into my savings account after all (it's what the video seemed to be showing anyway)

One of the prototypes they are showing is Metroid themed. Two Miis are dressed as Samus, (one regular suit, the other fusion), and the person with the WiiU controller flies her gunship. Metroid music plays during the game.

I love how Nintendo has shown up Sony and Microsoft yet again.
Microsoft: Nothing new, but hey! At least you have new Halo! (There's actually nothing wrong with new Halo, it's just underwhelming when Nintendo flings all this new shit at everyone)
Sony: We're apologizing for our general network failure and we have nothing new for you to see....but some measly trailers.
Nintendo: We decided to show off how we've already got Darksiders 2 and Batman Arkham City. Oh, and we also have some GREAT 3DS shit, that you get to fuck around with....enjoy.
