Re: Worst Moments of Game RageI've never understood the difficulty people claim Echoes has. It's no harder than the rest of the trilogy in my mind. I just tired of enemies having too much health to kill without using ammo, like Corruption's obsession with hypermode.
Fighting game bosses. No further explanation needed. ![]() End of Line. |

Re: Worst Moments of Game RageI so agree with you. That's the main reason why I don't like the prime trilogy that much, although the first one is awesome
Regret is the only true sin. (Don't remember where I heard that =D)

Re: Worst Moments of Game RageI like the Gamecube version only because it's harder, I heard that they made it slightly easier in the Trilogy.
Anyway, back on topic... I did have my moment of rage or at least pathetic sadness. In Twilight Princess in the Cave of Ordeals I was really far into the cave and I died. So I think I dropped my wiimote heavily on the ground and walked away. Then my favorite little moment happened WAY earlier. When I was 11 or so we invited all my girl friends over for a sleepover and we played the N64 late into the night after my Mom went to bed. We were playing SUperMario64 during the time and I decide to prove to all my friends that I was going to beat Bowser on the final stage. So We finally went up into the last pipe, went through the dialogue and started the fight. As the battle was drawing to a close I had only a hafe of a heart left and the stage was already a star shape. Mario was left out in the open then Bower charged at me right into the bomb-- and Mario went flying off of the cliff and died. I was so disappointed, I yelled, --"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" Suddenly my Mom came running out in her PJ's and strictly told us the shut off the game and no late night playing ever again. I learned my lesson but I will never forget that battle--so intense. I guess both stories weren't rage related but-- I thought I'd share 'em anyway. |

Late night gaming sessions rarely end well. Don't be pushed by your problems. Be led by your dreams.

Re: Worst Moments of Game RageIndeed they don't, but I enjoyed that--sorta. :3

Re: Worst Moments of Game Rage
On my first run, I made it to the very last combat room, (Room 49, three Darknuts. Fucking Darknuts...) then cacked it. The frankly amazing thing was that I completely fucked up room 45 and actually made it through rooms 46-48 on one heart. Every time I cleared a room I thought "Should I carry on? ... Yeah." Still, getting ganked by three of the most difficult monsters in the entire game was a kick to the nuts. Not rage-worthy, but I did well for so long and still came up short. I think I even managed to kill one of 'em before getting tag-teamed. I play WoW. I play on a PvP server, and I play a Hunter (Lowest in the pecking order for solo PvP). So rage moments were common until I mellowed. Being corpse-camped by a persistent Rogue, especially on your one day off in a week, really sucks. Also, being in a battlegroup that's largely dominated by good Alliance PvP players used to make Battlegrounds a really painful experience. Constant WSG shutouts, AV zerging, the whole damn lot. Battlegroup's improved, and I've mellowed a lot since my first few complete rageouts after a few particularly bad losses. (Lemme tell you about the one time we were against a full, organised group of seven Rogues and three facerolling Paladins in WSG.). I've actually come to the realisation that a Survival Hunter is an absolutely fabulous distracting presence on the battlefield. Frost Trap, Deterrence, Lock 'n' Load Explosive Shot dumps on a healer after an Aimed Shot, Wyvern Sting, Scatter Shot, War Stomp, Drums of Panic... I can keep a group of about four or five Alliance players dancing around me without dying while a train of Demolishers in Strand of the Ancients rolls by in the background. It's hilarious. So recently, I've probably caused a few of these rage moments. |

Re: Worst Moments of Game RageI'm getting the last few stars in Super Mario Galaxy 2 now,
(last few of the initial 120, at least.)
and I've already thrown my Wii Remote against a concrete wall. It popped open, but nothing was damaged, luckily. I just snapped it back shut and you can't even tell it happened.
Man, screw Cosmic Clones. Purple coins too, those suck. |

Re: Worst Moments of Game RageIf you're raging already, then you're going to end up burning your house down or something.

Sorry we can't all be as clearly Godlike at SMG2 as you are, Steamlord

Re: Worst Moments of Game RageI'm definitely not godlike, just persistent. Like I said, it took me about 150 lives to get through that level.

Re: Worst Moments of Game RageIs the rest of the game as unpleasant as this part?
If it was fun difficult I wouldn't even be angry to the point of cursing, but I just don't like doing difficult things while under the pressure of time. Cosmic Clones and Speed Run comets are the only things that bother me, I couldn't be happier while doing Daredevil comets and the like. |

Re: Worst Moments of Game RageDon't worry, there's no time limit.
