Neutopia

Postby Jesse D » 10.25.07 2:14am

A long time ago, I read about this game called Neutopia which was basically Turbografix16's ripoff of The Legend of Zelda. Despite its blatantness, it seemed to receive positive reviews as a quality game. I always kinda wanted to play it, but never had the opportunity.

Now I see that it's available for 600pts on the Wii.

Has anybody played it? Is it worth six bucks? What about Neutopia II? Opinions?

Hi Jesse D,

In my honest opinion, both Neutopia & Neutopia II are pretty good in my book.

I've played the entire Legend of Zelda series and both Neutopias are a good way to kill some time while waiting for the next Zelda game.

Just one word of warning: Some of the boss fights can be hard (I know that both Dirth fights took me a few attempts to finish!).

So I guess you should give both of them a go (I bought them myself on Virtual Console).

Cheers.

Yeah, I ended up purchasing the first one on VC. I played it up to the third area (the ocean area) before I kinda lost interest. It is an enjoyable game, but the map design and gameplay became a tad too generic for me. Not to mention, I got lost. :P

I'll eventually beat it, though.

I own them for TG16. They are pretty fun little action/rpg's. If you don't like 2D action/rpg's, avoid them.
