I noticed there wasn't a thread for StreetPass on here, so I thought I'd make one! You can put tips and tricks in here. The games really aren't that good, but now that Find Mii II is out, I am compelled to finish it.
The FAQ for the first game still holds true for the most part:

Other pointers such as using low-level characters to cast attack magic when there are two targets also works, as does freezing or putting to sleep tough enemies before attacking with the higher level characters. However, sleep doesn't work too well on the giant knights. I did notice that sandstorm is pretty effective because they won't attack due to the dust - but it also lowers your attack ratio. Sometimes you end up on top...
However, some new surprises that you'll find out quickly enough.
Hire Old Allies - This is cool. You can hire streetpass characters you've met before, with their level determining cost. A level 1 Mii will run you 3 coins, a level 7 will run you 8. This feature will let you clear through some nasty stuff.
Hire Heroes - Sometimes you will get a level 3 Mii.
First, there are ZOMBIES. Zombies will usually scare your hero first thing, so if you've got a level 7 hero, it's bye-bye. It's good to have a map of where all the zombies are I suppose. You run into the first zombie in level 3, so I guess you should go in prepared.
Reaper Cadet - This guy sucks. Starts off with a poison cloud that can only be permeated with yellow magic. Maybe even just combo yellow magic (not sure). Casts curse magic which does...something. I dunno, I disspelled it with a potion. He appears before the Iron Golem, and I fought him on the exit from the forest (hard to remember without seeing the map).
Iron Golem - Not sure what his weakness is (but probably water since he's iron...). Has a ton of HP, so hard to defeat.
Mimic Magic - This also sucks. It will create a clone of the monster you are fighting. If you attack the mimic, the hero will get tired and run away. There's a Blue Ghost that will do this. Attack magic will damage the mimic and the original, but he'll just create a clone next attack, so it's basically a 50/50 chance.
Shields - These will start to absorb magic attacks, which also sucks. Thankfully, I was able to burn through one.
Form Team - I think you can only form a team if there are two of the same color. This happened by accident when fighting the Reaper Cadet, so I don't know if powerful yellow magic will disperse it or not. Anyway, a team will increase the level of the team (level 1 plus level 2 makes level 4 - so either doubles the highest or combines them all plus one). You attack three times plus a finisher for the combo. Obviously, you can use heroes in the middle to put two heroes of like color next to each other.
Shop - I haven't gotten all the items from here, but some of them seem to do some good. There's a potion for removing enemy spells (2 coins), a potion that will I guess double the levels of all your heroes (20 coins!), and a potion that will bring back 3 heroes (8 coins). I didn't look at the others closely, but here's how the potion of valor works: it brings back just 3 heroes, and it seems to do this based on their order on the list rather than at random. So I think you can use this potion best if your top heroes are at the front of the list - you can bring back three level 7 heroes for 8 coins. Kinda neat.
Oh yeah, no new Metroid unlockables, at least not so far. There's some Star Fox stuff and a Yoshi hat. And there's a new panel for Pilotwings.
UPDATE [12-12-11]:
Poison gas requires team attack of yellow magic to dislodge.
Flame wall requires team attack of blue magic to dislodge.
Thankfully, you can hire two level 1 heroes you previously encountered with the same shirt color to get past these.
It's also nice to have a level 1 encountered hero with a purple shirt for poison.
Some of the powerful enemies will put up a shield barrier. You need to buy dispel potion to get rid of it (recommended).
Unfortunately, sometimes the potions you buy are faulty (happened to me once).
Should get a list of all the levels with information on the enemies that are in each one...
