You seriously want to argue this with me? vs One of the big deals about Rage was the engine which was supposed to be setting the standard on realistic graphics (i.e. pushing higher res textures and more polys than anything else on the market). Borderlands is yes, pushing it. I'm also not completely sure about putting Prey on there, either... I'm just looking for games that have highly stylized art direction and not ones that are leaning more towards hyperrealism.

The difficulty of finding games that suit your requirements prove the point of the list. Nice experiment.
I really can't think of any more examples.
EDIT: Isn't LittleBigPlanet western?
Double edit: Nah, it's from the UK.

Oh, I found some:
Conduit 1/2, The Grinder and Ben 10 protector of earth (hey, it fits the requirements), all developed by High Voltage Software
Also, Red Steel 2

Ben 10 is based on the cartoon franchise of the same name, bud. I'll add Red Steel 2, but Conduit and the Grinder seem very heavily rooted in reality. Also: Naner hit it on the head. EDIT: Red Steel 1 & 2 were made by UbiSoft Paris!

Would Saints Row 2 & 3 count?

Aren't the Saints Row games based on gang wars? Doesn't that scream "reality" to you?

Not when said gang wars can involve luchadores and can be waged with hovercrafts, dildo-bats and octopus guns. Granted, the game isn't 100% over-the-top and in your face like the marketing would have you believe. For example, the characters are (usually) anatomically realistic and real songs are featured.
If nothing else, I think that at least the third game can be put in the "pushing it" category as it most certainly is not striving to be realistic.

But the cartoon franchise is from 2005. There isn't any rule saying the game can't be based on any other media. Also, no Saints Row.

"established franchise" implied other media, but since this was obviously not clear to you, I updated the rule. It's more effective if you don't try to "get around" my rules or find loopholes. Just be serious about it and think of them!

Dead Rising was developed by the Japanese, Duke Nukem was released in 1991 and Red Faction was released ten years later.
Don't know about the rest as I've not really played them, but I know that Counter Strike doesn't count and I can also say with certainty that Half-Life wouldn't either.
