In my opinion A link to the past is the best Zelda game ever , i have a cartridge of that game and stills play it in my super nes, following it Oracle of Ages. That opinion comes with the fact that the musics are really good.Especially Dark World theme a link to the past
If i was in Metroid universe, i would marry Samus, and if i could choose an ability,Speed Booster would be mine. Finally i got all ending pictures,Metroid Fusion JP Version Completed

I was never able to get into this series, but I sure love their titles. Ogre Battle, The March of the Black Queen and Let Us Cling Together are all names of Queen songs.

I have only heard of this series in passing but the fact that it has subtitles named after Queen songs is a win in my book.

I also really like the theme that plays in the first three castles when you collect the medals.

The ending of this rendition reminds me slightly of Running Man for some reason. Search for album called Legend of Zelda, Sound and Drama, has lots more other tracks from the game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NcagfyYpZc Dark Overworld theme there.

Off-topic, but that soundtrack is awesome. The Hyrule Castle rendition is awesome as well.

I find it fascinating that both Xenogears and Xenoblade have been mentioned in this thread...you'll see why in my list...anyways, in no particular order:
Halo: Reach Xenosaga Episode I: Dur Wille Zer Macht (the successor to Xenogears, I hear this one references the storyline of Xenogears) Xenosaga Episode III: Also Sprach Zarathustra (the precursor to Xenoblade, though no story connection) Starfox: Adventures Minecraft

All right... 1. Half-life 2: Pretty much defines for me how a GOOD game works with out your character talking. 2. Portal 2: I loved the story... so deep in a weird valve way. 3. Crysis 2: Supersuit, Yup. Aliens, duh. Cool BA power, of course. Half-Life 2equse Campain with quite a few twists that makes you THINK and feel?!I have to say I love this game more and more I play it. Underrated and misunderstood by way to many peolple. 4. Battlefield Bad Company 2: My first true online shooter.... I still think I prefer it to BF3 and I love it very much. 5. Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit: I have way to memories of this game and runing from the cops. I hope some game soon can replace it.....(Most Wanted was the closest too this).

Well, it's pretty hard to narrow it to just five, but here goes...
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker - It gave me a sense of amazement and adventure unlike anything I've experienced in other Zelda games! The art style was nice and vibrant, too.
EarthBound - I loved all of the creative characters and enemies, as well as the cleverly-written dialogue.
Super Mario Galaxy (and its sequel, since I group them together) - Does this one need much explaining?
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2 - I never expected a Pokemon game to have much of a plot, let alone one that does so well at making you wonder what will happen next! (Of course, it started out ordinary, but... People who have played it know what I mean.)
Kid Icarus: Uprising - Without a doubt, this is the funniest game I've ever played.
Some of my favorites that didn't make the list include Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Kirby Super Star Ultra, and The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks.

In no particular order.
1. Brutal Legend - It's basically a heavy metal action adventure/open world game with driving mechanics, RPG and RTS elements, and EPIC soundtrack, EPIC cameos from the world of Rock and metal, and it's made by Tim Schaefer. Nuff 'said.
2. Super Mario Galaxy - This is my favorite Mario game to date, with Super Mario World coming in a close 2nd. But the production value and innovation in Galaxy is what makes it my favorite. It also has not only my favorite Mario soundtrack BY FAR, but it's one of my favorite overall videogame soundtracks of all time. Koji Kondo does nothing short of magnificent in terms of the score in this game. It's simply beautiful.
3. Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - Yeah I'm gonna get shit for putting this here. Once upon a time, before the CoD franchise was milked dry with little to no innovation between it's never-ending sequels, there was a time when CoD was a fun franchise. CoD 1 and 2 were amazing for their time, but CoD 3 fell flat as it was pushed to Treyarch at the very last 2nd and they only had a year to develop it. However Infinity Ward, who at the time actually had good developers were secretly working on CoD4 for 2 years. To this day CoD4 is still my favorite CoD campaign experience as it still feels different and yet authentic as a Call of Duty title (and isn't littered with quicktime events around every corner like it's sequels to come). The story is actually pretty descent and gets very emotional near the end. CoD4 was way ahead of it's time, especially with it's multiplayer. Unfortunantly after CoD4 and Cod: World At War, the multiplayer took a turn for the worst.
4. Super Smash Bros. Melee - I prefer the faster paced gameplay in this one. And it's fun at parties. That's all that needs to be said.
5. Mario Vs. Donkey Kong - I cannot tell you how many hours I sank into this game. It's a different kind of platforming game than a traditional Mario or a DK experience. Ignore the sequels, they aren't worth your time, but this first one for the GBA is pure fun (and VERY VERY VERY difficult at times). It requires you to think, and think fast!
