PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale

The game is now confirmed and looks a lot like Smash Bros. For me, that's a great thing, so I'm definitely excited. What do you expect from and hope for the game?

I like how first player is red and second is blue, but they switched yellow to fourth and green to third. We wouldn't want it to be too similar now would we.

I wonder who they would put into a game like this? I'm willing to bet that Crash Bandicoot would be in it. I wonder if they would put Final Fantasy characters in it? (That would be awesome...) Maybe I should look it up myself?

EDIT: I read it. Very interesting. Looks like there won't be FF characters. (I guess they already did that with Ehrgeiz and Dissidia...) Too bad I don't own a PS3.

Sounds like, so far, it'll contain characters, items and/or stages from God of War, LittleBigPlanet, Ratchet & Clank, Jak and Daxter, Resistance, Killzone, Twisted Metal, Fat Princess, Sly Cooper, Hot Shot Golf, Parappa the Rapper and some others. It's funny that they haven't mentioned Uncharted or inFamous, but I'm pretty darn sure those will be in there. It'll probably have some third-parties, too.

As for Crash... I don't think Sony owns him anymore, unfortunately.

Haha, I'm so out of the Playstation loop, I only play FF games on the PS2, pretty much. I'm such a Nintendo geek.

That sucks.

I loved Crash Bandicoot 2 and Crash Team Racing. CTR, in my opinion, is a fantastic racing game that gives MK64 a run for it's money.

Yeah, I know how that goes. My first non-Ninty system was a PS3 in 2009, so I don't know much about their older franchises. I've yet to shut up and play Ico and Shadow of the Colossus.

What looks interesting is that each stage is based on two series. So you have arenas with both Ratchet & Clank and God of War elements, for example.

My first non-Ninty system was the original PS, and I played Crash Bandicoot 2. Before I got into Final Fantasy I just played random stuff like Dragon Ball Z Budokai and stuff like that.

What is this "Xbox" contraption that I hear people speak of? *sarcasm*

Also the game seems a bit...slow? Oh well. I'll hold more judgement until I get the game (IF I even get it) and try it out for myself, but I'm honestly not expecting much.

Definitely a Smash Bros. rip off.

Doesn't look interesting to me. It won't have the same charm, in my opinion.

Especially with Kratos or Killzone/Resistance characters in the mix.

This is somewhat old news to me, really. I've heard somewhere that Spyro might also be in it but that could just be a rumor.

Everything about this seems so forced.

Like, does Killzone guy really need to be a fighting game character? Especially when the best moves you can come up with are things like 'shoot forward' and 'shoot diagonally'?

What's fat princess going to do? What about resistance guy? Or Parappa the Rapper? Can you really picture a fun moveset for any of these characters?

At least show off someone who actually would make an awesome fighting game character, like Ratchet and Clank.
