Re: Disappointments in GamingThe only ones worth buying in that list are: Galaxy 2, 3D Land, Sticker Star, and Mario Kart 7. The rest is just meh.

Re: Disappointments in GamingYou are misunderstanding me. I am aware of how the business works. The issue is that out of those 14 games in one year, two of the crappy spin off/minigame collections could have been put on hold and their budgets combined to make one singular Star Fox, FZERO, or Metroid game.

Re: Disappointments in GamingI was talking about a WiiU Kirby game being unique. Canvas curse was meh, Epic Yarn was fun, Mass Attack???

Re: Disappointments in Gaming
Looks like a Kirby orgy. Maybe I should try it when ever I find a find a ds and that game. |

Re: Disappointments in GamingI haven't played it, but from what I've heard, a Kirby orgy is essentially what it is.

Re: Disappointments in GamingTalk about disappointment. They cancelled all the other ones for this? "I am tired of being under the weight of greedy men who don't believe in anything."

Re: Disappointments in GamingAnd a damn fun one at that. And... Huh. I share the above reactions. I normally wouldn't have a problem with an iOS Mega Man game, but after all the shit the series got last year... and besides, those screenshots do look pretty bad... Kinda like a fan-made Flash game. And a bad one at that. Why not a proper game for the 3DS or the Vita? |

Re: Disappointments in GamingIt's things like that that makes me dream of the day when Retro buys the Megaman rights.

Re: Disappointments in GamingAgreed. The original Crysis was my favorite FPS that exists in this realm. Such a shame that the sequel was so horrendously watered down and "mainsteamlined." Thanks, EA! Number two would have to be Mass Effect 3's ending. I guess I have to give them some credit for attempting to fix it, though they failed. Another favorite franchise down for the count. Thanks again, EA! The biggest disappoint for me though has to be with the Command and Conquer franchise and EA (AGAIN?!) completely obliterating it with the atrocity that was C&C4. EA then cruelly dangled in the face of all of us C&C fans the hope that they could revive the franchise with C&C Generals 2, promising it would return the franchise to it's roots, only to turn around and announce today that they are scrapping the single player and turning it into a Free2Play MMORTS! CURSE YOU, EA! ![]() |

Re: Disappointments in GamingMetroid: Other M - Given the nature of this board, no other explanation is needed, other than promised to be the "ultimate Metroid experience" but wasn't.
Warcraft 3 - Given how much I loved WC2, while I was happy overall with the game's structure, they completely changed the nature of the Orcs from the originals, and after this, the whole thing left RTS to go to MMORPG, which basically means there will never be another RTS Warcraft. On the other hand, Blizzard learned a lot from their mistakes, and Starcraft 2 turned out pretty good. Zelda: Skyward Sword - Everybody said this game was absolutely fantastic. Disagreement here. How can this game be perfect when it has so many examples of poor design? Did people only play past the first dungeon before turning in their reviews? Sand ship, mine cart, and find the tadpoles. If 95% of the audience is willing to overlook that kind of laziness, then I guess I'm no longer part of the mainstream Zelda audience. Runners up... Ending to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. Seriously, Konami? WTF? On the other hand, I guess they explain it in the DLC and sequel... Metroid Prime Hunters - Already talked about this one to death. The sleep of Reason produces monsters.

Re: Disappointments in GamingI was disappointed by the ending to ME3 also, but franchise ruined? Not so much. The rest of the game was fantastic.
Playing Darksiders II, it's awesome so far, but the beginning just kind of happened. No epic intro like the first, and I'm still not sure how I feel about Death as a character. "I am tired of being under the weight of greedy men who don't believe in anything."

Re: Disappointments in GamingGlad to see I'm not the only one disheartened by Capcom's mistreatment of Mega Man. The Mega Man X iOS game was horrid and this looks no better. I suppose this marks the final nail in The Blue Bomber's coffin, at least in terms of quality, if nothing else.
EA continuing to butcher Command & Conquer? I have no words adequate to describe the rage. @CapCom: Elaborate, if you would, on Lords of Shadow. I've never known anyone who's suffered through the game to the end. Furthermore, having never played WarCraft 1&2, what was so disappointing about the jump to WC3? The last metroid is in captivity. All's well in the galaxy.

Re: Disappointments in GamingThank god for Archie for delivering a great Megaman comic. At least we have that.
