Super WHO Galaxy!?!?!? (120-Star Spoilers)

Postby AMetroidGuy » 12.22.07 11:55pm

Wait, what? I collected 120 stars, died countless times on Daredevil runs and trying to follow splattered matter, and now I am supposed to get them all again with a plumber who not only can’t stop on a dime, but would be hard-pressed to stop on a rai stone. Fuck!

But he's faster and jumps higher.

But I agree, the whole stopping thing is definately a pain in the ass. Seriously, I remember Luigi having a fluttery jump and more speed, I certainly don't remember the part where he slid around on shoes made of grease.

It’s from SMB(2J/tLL). Still annoying though.

Heh, no no. The best part is how they nonchalantly try to explain how Luigi's supposed to be rescuing Luigi.

I haven't even started going through the Luigi game yet. I figured I'll save that for next year when I have nothing to do.

Oh and in case you were wondering, the 121st star is a purple coin level... it's not even remotely difficult.

Yeah, I'm kinda saving the Luigi mode for the time that I decide to replay the game. I have picked up a few stars here and there with him. It'll be a long time before I have 120, but over the next year or two I ought to have all of them.

They used some really simple variable techniques to replace Mario with Luigi in the game, but I think the "Luigi saves Luigi" is just freaking stupid. They could have put Yoshi in his position and it would have made more sense.

But, it would be stupid for me to just now start to point out how a Mario game doesn't really make any sense. Particularly Galaxy.

I was also hoping the star challenges would be different as Luigi, or that the world would be mirrored to add to the challenge. At the very least, I've noticed that the Cosmic Comet races are different from how they were while playing as Mario. Shadow Luigi really takes advantage of his speed and long jumps.

Yeah, his traction is much worse, but oddly enough, I never had a problem. After about 10 Stars, I was used to it and it felt no less tougher than Mario's game.
