Pretty much. These are the last manga that we own. I'm in the process of getting Volumes 2 and 3, but it's going to take awhile. After that, we could track down the whole of Samus & Joey EX, but there's a crapload of issues there, and they're not exactly cheap, so it's going to cost a lot of ad revenue. And we still need to find the last chapter of Episode of Aether, which is even harder to find.

Ahaha, this is great. I kinda like Metroid getting mixed in with a touch of goofiness. There's something funny about Samus using profanities, too.

Hey someone can tell me where in the metroid timeline Samus And Joey manga are?That is the right topic for that question?

First off, Samus & Joey isn't canonical. But in terms of where it takes place, I don't think it's possible to say for certain. In Chapter 3, they mention finding Metroids on another planet, which was probably SR388. That means it can't have happened after Fusion (well, that and the whole spaceship design). The only other concrete evidence is that Samus already destroyed the Metroids and Mother Brain at least once. I think it makes sense to place it between M1 and M2, but it is really not possible to tell for sure.

Oh yeah, referring to Samus as "he" rather than "she" makes sense once you get to the end of the Samus & Joey series.

Excuse again, CapCom you told me that Samus and Joey isn't canonical right?it means Samus and Joey are not part of the original story?and another question,Metroid database will put volume 2 and 3 of Samus and Joey here?

Saying that the Samus and Joey comic is not canonical does mean that it doesn't actually fit or belong in the Metroid timeline and is pretty much just for fun. And as far as I know, the other volumes will come once they've been translated and such, according to what I've read here.

Canon (not to be confused with cannon, which is like Samus's gun) means it's an official part of something. If something is not canon, then it's not official. Does that make sense?

Ok i do not confuse with cannon .It makes sense now,someone writen that comic that isn't official,but can belong at Metroid timeline.Now it is clear,thank so much for that explanation


I read all comics and manga,only lack chapter 5 volume 1 samus and joey, and the captain N comics too

I dont know if captain N is a truly story but it doesn't matter for this topic .Thank one more time and hope we will see soon volume 2 and 3.Thank so much for that forum too!!

Whether any comics are canon or not can only be decided within Nintendo, but the most accurate thing to say about S&J is that it hasn't had any effect on other Metroid games or other media. The only two that undoubtedly have influenced the games are the Super Metroid comic and the prequel manga. There are some other elements from some that may have made a mark, but those are the significant ones.
