Maybe it's because they wanted to piss of the speedrunners that are bound to skip the cutscenes... :P
If it's gonna count against your time, you might as well watch it?

Probably to make it so that people won't feel guilty for watching them. Though, I think it would have been better to not have them count toward your time whether you watched them or not.

I can't even play the game anymore and I am furious! The game keeps freezing with an annoyingly load buzzing noise every other time a map comes up. I have been trying to play without bringing up the map screen but all I can do when the game automatically brings up the map to show me where to go next is pray. I didn't have any problems with my first playthrough but on my second it started doing the random "now loading" everywhere until now with the map freezing. Also, at this point I am stuck at the part where you see a Grapple point and Adam tells you to go back, it automatically brings up the map and freezes every time!

I swear if this Wii is busted I am going to freak, because that will make 5 consoles that have broken down on me this generation! 4 Wiis and only 1 360, WTF! I have a lot less trouble with PC gaming for crying out loud.

That's really weird. I can't think of a single reason for them to have it work that way...

That's frikken cool that you can play Metroid while staring at a clock. :P You know, without looking at the TV screen.

But seriously, that "sequence break" is weird. I didn't realize that firing pulled her forward like that.

I had a glitch happen to me, where I shinesparked in the elevator before it closed,
Normally Samus teleports to the middle of the elevator and stands facing the door,
but this time she didnt teleport, she just faced the wall once I got control of her.

When the elevator reached it's destination, instead of Samus running out of the elevator,
she ran into the wall, which forced me to ride the elevator again.

I tried for about 40mins to do it again and have it recorded, but no luck. z:/

This room freezes on me after I beat the game.
Any time before the final boss, it won't freeze.

I've beaten the game 2 more times without it freezing at all,
and it still freezes again after the last boss is defeated.

If I enter the room it might freeze, if it doesn't freeze, it can still freeze if the room has to
unload itself.

I'm not sure why it does this.
But I don't like it z>:(

I had that happen too when I was on my way to fight the final boss for a second time. It looked like Samus was spooked and ran over to hit the elevator button to get the hell out of there. I thought it was quit hilarious. I guess Samus just has a phobia of fighting bosses that she has already beaten!

Uh oh, so the game is now freezing on you during your third playthrough as well? I hope this is not common. How many other people are going through the game for the third time, is it freezing up on them as well?

I don't know if this has anything to do with Other M, but since I've
retrieved Adam's helmet
, my Wii constantly spouts Error-Messages. z>:( It let's me play for a while, usually for ... 10 - 15 minutes or so, then that typical "Wii System-Error"-Message appears. This even happens on Theatermode, and I don't know what to do against that. For the record, no, I haven't tried another game if that occurs there too ... but if it's something with Other M, that's going to suck .... x_x

Loading issues seem to become more common on higher numbers of subsequent playthroughs. I just completeed my third playthrough of Other M. Once incident with a door paralled Prime 3's door issues. MY second time through the ki-hunter hive, collecting items from Sector 1 before going to room MW. I got a "Now loading" that lasted about a minute and a half, as I waited for the door to open. All the while fending off the evolved ki-hunters.

I also had an issue with spiral arboretum room, post credits. I was running around spiral on my way to choogle's room when I suddenly got a "NOW LOADING" that froze the game for a couple of seconds. I've also had this happen when leaving the gravity rooms with shinespark (though the pausing did give a sort of awesome effect in that case, it was almost matrixy.)

Also the whole cutscene taking up time didn't seem to apply to any cutscenes other than the 20 or so first minutes of the game.

I got scared when I had to cross that infamous grapple spot, but I was happy to see that so far my luck has held up and I've had a happy green door.

I'd like to note that on this run, I never ran into invincible enemies.

I've also had a few issues with the sense move. Sometimes instead of doing a sense move, Samus would stand there and look like she's having a seizure or dancing instead of pulling it off. I was lucky I didn't get hit during those incidents though. They happened the most when fighting those awful power bomb bug things.

Neither have I, but that's only from one full normal run and one Hard run. I haven't touched the game since except to watch Theater Mode yesterday.

Man, it was so short.

No glitches here, so far. Unless finding absolutely no pickups on Hard Mode is a glitch. I just got past the Kihunter hive and all the pickups I knew I could get to are not there. Is that normal?

That's what makes Hard mode hard.
And the only glitchyness that I've even remotely encountered has been the random extraneous loading times during subsequent playthroughs. I firmly believe that it is the result of a fatigued Wii.

I think it's the game Zero, with how many of us have noted it.

Mine started loading a lot today, whether because I was nearing the end of the game, running quickly through all sections of the game, or because I've been playing all day. Oh well, at least it doesn't affect the gameplay much.
