Things you dislike

Insta-kills in Hard Mode seem to me over-cheap. I mean, it's called hard for a reason, but it's annoying to be killed instantly with an enemy's normal attack (Ridley's tail, for instance).

Ugh not only that but those fumbleyes grabbing you, I found it nearly impossible to avoid getting grabbed by that thing in a certain area of sector 2, the spot with a ramp over water (the first room you see it) and on hard mode it's usually an instant death if it does.

I think it's kind of misleading how powerful the charge beam is, because it doesn't really seem to do that much damage in the time it takes to fire off several rapid-shots

Yeah but wasn't shooting in Metroid always like this? especially mid and late game? I know in super and fusion I usually resorted to just spamming the normal shots once I got the wave and plasma beams instead of charging. Same in fusion, except for on bosses and on 1% where I found the pseudo screw attack helpful.

I, for one, liked the Ridley scene almost the best. It finally acknowleged Ridley as a meaningful character, and made the relationship between him and Samus canon. Until now, the only things hinting at their hatred for one another were Smash Bros. trophies and an ancient manga. Now it can safely be said that Ridley really did fuck up her life and get the Metroid Series going.

Staying on-topic, though. I hated the Find-The-Pixel moments. HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE THEM! The only thing that could have made them cool was if Waldo popped up somewhere.

Until now, the only things hinting at their hatred for one another were Smash Bros. trophies and an ancient manga. I only had a few moments that I disliked in the game. The pixel hunt did get pretty old, sometimes it was difficult to dodge even regular attacks, the game did seem really linear, and I would've liked seeing a bigger variaty of overblast moves. And I'm not sure if this is just my disk or what, but ever since I returned to the Bottle Ship, I've been bombarded with "Now Loading..."

But overall I loved the game and those problems that i mentioned didn't affect my view of the game.

You're referring to Little Birdy. I didn't say I disliked Choogle, I said I disliked the fact that he evolves into those ugly stages. :< Also, your mom is a Choogle... Choogle is going to fucking eat us all. Ridley should have pressed B when he was evolving, his Choogle form is clearly the most powerful thing in the universe. It is the only thing that strikes anything remotely close to fear into the heart of Armstron Houston.

And I'm telling the truth. The only thing about the Ridley cutscene that I didn't like was the fact that Samus was, yet again, a complete tool. Anthony and Ridley himself were fuckin' gold. The whole game should have been a fight scene between those two.
