Overblast and Lethal Strike opportunities (Big Spoilers!)

its face didn't melt because it was still alive... to return again in Fusion.

You can overblast the cargo robot too, in fact that section of threatre mode shows you how.

Yeah, I was surprised to see that, having never done it before since getting anywhere near that thing seemed like such a terrible idea.

Really? I actually though the overblast was required to beat that thing. The game just seemed to go out of its way to emphasize that it was vulnerable to an overblast.

I didn't realize you can overblast the cargo-bot either, until theater mode. I just shot it from behind (which took a while).

Then my brother plays, and since he watched theater mode with me, he tries overblasting, and takes the thing out in one hit. I felt like a very big moron.

yeah an overblast is a one hit kill for it, great for speed runs or hard mode >.>

Also I can't get overblast to work on groganch, samus doesn't seem to jump high enough.. could you explain it better? the most I can do is shoot it point blank with a diffusion shot...

Is groganch that quadropedal creature with the large armored head? If so, then my overblast isn't working on him either. The shot seems to just be deflected by his armor even though the barrel of my arm cannon is sticking right into his head. Every once in a great while it actually does work and he dies, but I can't figure out what, if anything, I did different during those times.

I believe (What has been working for me) that to Overblast him,
get him to slam the ground, charge up, wait a bit till before he gets up,
and jump on his ball thing just as he's getting up, so Samus is touching it while he gets up,
and Samus will auto stick on top of him.

Then release for the blassssssssssssstttttttttttttt

Pretty much, yeah. This one is basically the trickiest one for me. I can usually only get it to work 1/5 of the time.

Know what would be cool? a video of Overblast and Lethal Strike being used on every enemy and boss they can be used on.

Has anyone mentioned Goyagma yet (that giant long-armed lava boss)? When he leaves his arm on the ground, just freeze it and jump on the arm to perform Overblast. Once he is in low health, you can perform Lethal Strike with the same tactic.

So, can peeps confirm something for me? Rhediwhatsit, or Rhombus, or whatever the hell the Persistant Tentacle Rape Beetle Boss you get the seekers from is called: I swear I read somewhere that when you freeze his head pincer things, you can overblast him. But every time me or my brother tried, he'd just buck us off.

So! Is it even possible to Overblast him? Was I just smoking something and read the wrong thing?

I just shot missiles at the frozen parts on my first playthrough. Didn't realize until playing hard mode that I can probably try to overblast him

You can either Lethal Srtike (it doesn't kill him) or Overblast him after Missiling the red eye of doom, as I recall.
