You could change the title to "An insight into the conditions of working in the vidoe game industry, with a profound inlook into Sakamoto's methods"

If that makes you feel better z;)

I was about to mention the same thing, the stories about Retro's experience with Miyamoto. Though he seems to have a sense of humor about it, commenting on his "knocking over tables" or whatever. He was the one who decided the game should be first-person, resulting in Retro having to reportedly junk months of work on a third-person version.

Actually things looked quite good, very nice cutscene and design work IMO.

Beta Prime looked pretty bad to me.

Don't even get me started on the Beta version of the Phendrana Drifts song.

It's pretty funny.

Nintendo's definitely an old-school Japanese company; they were originally founded in 1889.

Didn't they make playing cards and run hotels or something?

Already knew about Nintendo being around since 1889 and the whole playing card business before making games.

The hotel thing I didn't know about. I also didn't know about this love magnet thingy they also apparently made. Gotta find that Destructoid article about it...

Ahahahaha...!

Well, aside from the weird-ass chorus that pops in from time to time, I actually think this is pretty cool. Man, I'm glad they got the chorus right in the final game.

They had a brief foray into the love hotel business yes.

Link to the entire article next time, Lab, it's called good journalism. Or being a good poster. Or...something.

Anyway, you're picking and choosing quotes out of context. I got less of a "he's going to murder me" vibe, and more of a "Japanese people work way too hard" vibe.

Would I want to work under Sakamoto? No. Would I want to work with him? Quite possibly. But then again, I don't follow orders well and I like talking shop.
Honestly, everything I read about him makes me think of me: knowing exactly what you want, but having a terrible time trying to convey it to other people. It's why I tend to avoid colabs. I just can't explain myself.

Dear god, what the hell I think my ears were just raped. I will never be able to look at Phendrana the same way again.

Thank god they avoided that potential traversty.

This in a nutshell. Even if some of his statements make me question his sanity at times.
