Waiiiiit a minute. "Commander Malkovich?" What was Adam's actual rank again? Earlier in the game they (Samus?) said he was a general.

Honestly, I don't think he has any sort of real rank. I think Adam just walked into the Galactic Federation HQ with that suit and hat of his one day and started to order people around. They were about to kick him out, but Anthony stopped them and said, "Wait a minute, this guy seems to know a little something about subtlety. And I bet he knows how to treat a lady. Let's keep him around for a little while."

And that explains Adam's ever-changing rank.

Perhaps he was just a commander back when Samus was still part of the GF Army? That, or he was totally okay with being, or even may have preferred to be, called Commander.

I, too, felt this way when I heard this line. Easily my favorite.

I was a bit disappointed with how few Fusion quotes attributed to Adam actually ended up in MOM. "Any objections, lady?" is the only one that comes to my mind, but there are great and fitting ones like "Some must live and some must die."
Though for all we know that could be in the game, only messed up by the localisation team.

How many did he have outside of those two? From the looks of it, most of those would've been said in the scene where he sacrificed himself, anyway.

It does seem odd that a General would be on the battlefield commanding a small squad of commandos in person. Seems more like a Sergeant type of a job, no?

Its possible that what the GF army calls "General" is a much lower rank than our generals, and is closer to what we could call "Captain" or "Sergeant," but that would just be confusing.

For an odd humor line, when I was playing this part of the game I was surrounded by others who weren't really understanding what was going on so this particle line is very humorous for me, Messilia : "Don't come any closer! I said --Don't come any closer!!!!"

The response from the other gamers after that line for the most part was like, "That Bitch is crazy." "Does she have PMS?" "That what she said."--It made me laugh. xD

He is a general. He is the commanding officer of his unit, however, and thus can be called Commander. It's just another title, it's not his actual rank. After all, Commander is not a rank in the army.
