I'm sorry we couldn't help you. I was actually worried I'd run into this glitch during my hard mode run. I'm so glad I didn't. It make me wonder how much testing went into the game.. I can only think of brawl and it's many glitches.. Oh yeah somebody on gamefaqs said this about the glitch so there's a hint if it does happen. FarkerAba wrote:Who knows. I'm contemplating if I should even restate. I should have know something was wrong when I saved and when it showed me my next destination, the map leading to it didn't show up

Someone should do a normal mode run up to that door, and save at the nearest save station, and upload their save so people wouldn't have to start over. They could just continue from the save you provided.
I haven't checked if M:oM allows you to copy saves to SD Card, but if it does, I think this would help people who run into said glitch.

It's good idea in theory, but nobody knows what triggers the glitch. The only hint one person had was the map didn't display where to go when they saved.
Oddly speaking of glitches. I always seem to run into invincible enemy glitches.
It happen to me in Metroid prime 2, both the original version and the trilogy version, with the Dark Bloggs, and of course all my incidents I mentioned running into in Other M.

I have to admit that I'm looking forward to Minitroid and AM2R moreso then Dread, even if it is ultimate. smallville boy wrote:I have this issue. I'm sure you hate Twilight Princess' game-ending bug as well, therefore it's on the same level of crappy zelda fangames, go to hell Zelda

The bug in twilight princess is very hard to happened, the glitch in other M happened to alot of people for no reason.

Nintendo will likely be doing something about this glitch. One thing about Nintendo you can always say is they have incredible customer service.

Hey guys, Here's some more info about this issue - apparently IGN have been told that Nintendo is aware of the problem but there's no word of an official fix yet... However one interesting solution besides the restart/use old save option has popped up at GoNintendo. Supposedly if you backtrack after defeating the first Rhedogian on the cargo lift in Sector 2 and save the game in the Nav Room at the base of the cargo lift (again, after the battle) you'll experience the glitch. Instead, If you carry on as per normal right after defeating the Rhedogian, leave Sector 2 immediately without saving anywhere and go straight to Sector 3 before saving the game again, it seems to work fine. At least that's how I've played it so far and haven't run into any trouble yet... It might be worth making a temporary save point there and testing this theory out, as something like this will take a fair bit of testing to nail down the cause.

Looks like there are two explanations for this problem. One is that the glitch is activated after going back down the lift and saving. The other is going back and saving after fighting the Rhedogian after it busts out of the elevator shaft in Sector 3. Neither seems to have been confirmed as the source of the problem. But basically, it seems to be caused by people running back after a boss fight and saving rather than continuing to press onward. http://gamrfeed.vgchartz.com/story/8210 ... iscovered/The only solution seems to be copying a new save file after the door and using that. Unfortunately, I'm not going to have the time to play through the game to test these theories out. But, if someone has a safe file immediately after the door, could they e-mail me a copy or upload it here so I can add it to the site?

I feel so sorry for you guys. I got stuck in the elavator in Mass Effect, left the game for a long time, decided not to pre-order the sequel, and then came back to the game only to discover that it doesn't suck and that I'd have to pay the rediculous EA "used copy fine" on ME2. I guess now people will have to start copying save data before getting near that area. Hopefully there will be raised awareness of the issue so more people can avoid it. It's horrible when glitches get saved in a 'one-save only' game like Metroid.

I guess that's the next best solution for a console incapable of having game updates applied. At least we now have an official explanation of the cause of the glitch and how to avoid it...

By the time you you got your SD card back, you could have finished the game twice so that's quite a fail actually .
