Man, that Wind Waker miniboss theme. I wish the rest of the music for that game had been half as good.

So, many, Youtube, videos. Page is, loading, too slowly. Must, ignore own advice, and make, problem worse.

Here are a couple semiobscure boss themes from an old SNES Spider-man game that happens to rock.

This is from Sonic Adventure 2. Not really a boss them per say but awesome enough to include anyway.

From Castlevania, Dawn of Sorrow; the one good boss theme that seemed to be missing from the above list.

King Dedede is da bomb.

A couple more boss themes from the super awsome Super Mario RPG

Everyone dies. It is the final and only lasting Justice - Boba Fett

Ikaruga stands as having two of the best boss themes I've ever heard, in addition to a generally great soundtrack.

Its predecessor Radiant Silvergun also had an incredible boss track. It isn't intense, that feeling comes from the fighting itself. Rather, it simply serves as a reminder that you're fighting god. When you're scrambling to simply survive the onslaught of attacks coming at you, it gives a real feeling of helplessness.

Why yes, it might have...

And jeez, people, go easy on the youtube links- the url feature is just as good!

It's a bit hard to navigate a post with 10+ embeds. Save the best songs to embed and put the rest in url tags or somethin'.

Was thinking of doing this because of how long my first post took to load, but then decided not to because that method was more convenient. I may go back and edit all of my posts with labeled links.

Gotta say, though, what do you expect a person to do if they find each of the themes they posted to be equally awesome?

Also, why the hell isn't there a general game music thread? I feel like we're ignoring a lot of awesome themes by restricting it to just bosses...

Oh, and I'm gonna contradict what I just got through saying by making the problem worse. Also, cheating since this is an arranged theme:

They should merge these two threads then.

Was... Was that sarcasm? The Wind Waker has one of my favorite soundtracks ever.

(But for the record, the miniboss theme is one of my favorites.)

If you guys are going to post so many songs/themes from the same game, why don't you just post a name of that game and link to an OST playlist?

While not technically a video game, I feel this list is very empty without the various Strife musics from Homestuck.

As for actual video game themes, can't go wrong with Magus.

Treasure is becoming one of my favorite devs as of late- mainly because I keep on playing games by them that are just so damn good.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treasure_%28company%29
Heck if that doesn't just SOUND good.

This is a pretty good song from a pretty good N64 game.

Dynamite Headdy has an amazing soundtrack as well.

If this don't pump you up nothing will.

The final boss song for Dynamite Headdy gets pretty awesome 40 seconds in.

Gotta love that Genesis soundchip!
