I searched the forum to be sure the topic don't already exist. But it don't seem so . merge or delete it if it exist .


Ok , well. Just explain the nickname you use here on the forum, just for fun . There's some people I'm curious to know what it mean. Some of the admin/mod too .

I came up with this name when I was doing short movie back in high school.

[Azure Dragonius]

There are two guys on YouTube named AzureBlade49 and Jaymonius. I kinda combined their names and my favorite mythical creature, dragons, and whoop, there it is, I got Azure Dragonius.

[Satch]

A few years ago, my senior year in high school, I and a bunch of my friends started playing the old Pokemon games again. So towards the end of the year and the band had no more performances to prepare for, we just had oodles of time to muck around. We'd spend all that band time playing Pokemon together. It was lulzy.

Anyway, I told one of my friends, "Chris, I don't think we can keep calling them Pokemon because that's kinda dumb." And he said, "We need to come up with something more badass." Well, Pokemon is "Pocket Monsters". We ended up coming up with the name "Satchel Warriors", and shortened it to "Satchwar". So it developed into, "Hey guys, wanna play Satchwar Gold and Silver today? Or Satchwar Red and Blue?"

Eventually, I adopted Satchwar as my internet moniker!

I go by Satch sometimes (like I do here), and that's because I'm a trumpet player. There's this jazz trumpet player from way back named Louis Armstrong, and his nickname was "Satchmo". I take the Satch out of that and voila! You got me.

The Satchwar and Satch thing worked out pretty well, so I don't have to fight between names. To everybody else, Satch is a nickname for my Satchwar nickname.

If I think about it, my username isn't that creative-- Hell, if you just look at this site alone there was a member before me with the same name I just added the dash marks before and after. But I was truly unaware of that when I joined.

Before I came on here I was on GaiaOnline and when I started really getting into Metroid I wanted to rename my avatar. So I wrote down names and titles of Metroid things on a piece of paper then limited it down to two ideas: Samus and the Chozos. From there I worked on creating a username that would be easy to say and kind of matched so I thought of Chozo Hatching but that didn't seem to have the same effect then I thought of Chozochild.

To make it even more interesting during the time-- I was really into ZeroMission, and I had remembered that Samus signed her name at the end of the report with "-Samus Aran-".



I thought that was really cool so I mimicked that idea. Now I'm known as -ChozoChild-.

Urggh... I know this topic exists somewhere, but heck if I can find it.

In middleschool one day we read a scholastic magazine that features a middle eastern girl named Mai Ari. I stole that name and used it for a fairy cat creature I drew. Later I began using it as an SN and attached the "squee" part. I looked up Mai Ari on a name site once and I think it meant "my gem/jewel," used as a term of endearment.

Zeroº as in: 'Zero Degrees' as in: I am at the neutral position of zero and have equal opportunity to go up or down (if you believe in negative numbers). It also has the luck of having the letter 'Z' at the forefront. The 'º' mark is made by holding down 'alt' and sequentially pressing '0186' on the numpad (at least, that works for machines running Windows. Don't know about Macs or anything else). In numerical format it looks like this: 0º

Well, it has one capital letter and four lowercase letters. One silent letter. Two and a half vowels, three and a half consonants. It is six letters long and fits snugly in my sock.

It also has a purpose. The name is easy to mimic in many languages and helps me discern who's an idiot early on in the internet.

It came from a series of sketches I did of a hypothetical video game, supposed to be a parody of WW2 games. The name stuck, and I started using it as an online handle and, well, here I am!

I use this screen name just about everywhere. CR is just my initials. theMighty is a bit of a story.

So, once upon a while ago, I was watching my brother play Banjo-Kazooie on the N64 (I wasn't playing, because that game and I have a ~history~). There's a haunted house level, and off to the side of the haunted mansion proper is a small shack with light streaming out of it. Inside is a talking shot glass who claims to be an alien, and you solve a puzzle with him. The shot glass's name is Tumblar the Mighty.

So because I thought that shot glass was hilarious, and because I have a penchant for self-aggrandizement, I adopted the moniker of CR the Mighty.

It's the Japanese name for A Link to the Past, which is my favorite Zelda game.

In grade nine I had the lead role in our Juniour High production of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." And no I don't mean CHarlie. I was Willy Wonka. He had WAY more lines than any other character. As a result I decided that if I ever needed to come up with a fake name on the spot I would go with Will.

Keaton comes from the yellow fox guy in Majora's Mask. He also has a mask named after him in both Ocarina and Majora's Mask. The fact that the chairman of the Galactic Federation is named Keaton is merely a coincidence.

Ideally my sig would be Keaton dressed up in a Willy Wonka outfit, with lots of purple and gold, a cane and a purple top hat. Unfortunatly my artistic abilities prevent me from drawing anything more complex than stick figures.

I named myself after the guy in my avatar. If you don't recognize him(or I've changed it) he's the Chozo statue holding the Power Grip in Zero Mission. He didn't seem as important a figure as other Chozo statues, since we was kinda shoved in a hole, yet the game wouldn't be the same without his accessory.

I like to think I make a difference in the things I do and the people I meet, even though it may not always be readily apparent.
