Thought your artist was female? I’m with you, though. If I ever get a tattoo it will be a tramp stamp or a little one on the back of my neck. I think I tend to change my mind about things too much though, permanence is not my friend. Metroid wrote:Kraid Raid wrote:Ohh man, that had to be PAINFUL! Yeh. That guy had ballz
Not that you would ever notice if he didn’t, considering the attention magnet he has in close proximity would either draw your eyes or make you look far away.
I have seen a goodly number of tattoos in fairly crazy places, and I must say, it is impressive the designs they come up with to complement the local anatomy.

She was female, but that doesn't exclude her from having certain areas she wouldn't want needles near.

It always warms my heart to have a thread I started as a sticky...
Wow Kraid, you had pretty much the same thing done that I did. Awesome! I STILL have yet to get mine colored in... Been in some financial trouble, and tattoos are expensive.

Haha! I feel missed! I've been busy with a lot of things, going through a lot of emotional trouble. My girlfriend of 2 years dumped me to be with my best friend of 10 years, and that's been really hard on me. But, that was a few months ago, I'm doing much better now.
I also forgot to add the site to my toolbar, so the link got lost in my bookmarks for a while... I have a bad habit of letting that happen. Then again, given how long I've been here I can't count the hiatus' I've had.
Soooo yea. Good to be back.

So I got an idea recently, want to see what you guys think.
I'm considering getting another video game tattoo, more specifically something pin-up style of a female character. I've got a few ideas in mind:
1. The main idea I have is Samus, in a blue or purple bikini, with armor on her shins and her arms, with her helmet under one arm. I really like this idea, but I'm not certain if I want a second Metroid tattoo. The major decision here for me would probably be hair color/style, because I'm not a big fan of Zero Mission hair. Also, I'm not sure if I'd want purple or orange armor. The varia is far more familiar and classic, but I like the gravity more.
2. You know the picture of Marilyn Monroe, standing on the street vent that's blowing her dress up and she's holding it down? Like that, only with Princess Zelda.
3. Sarah Kerrigan, BEFORE getting knocked up by the Zerg, with a sniper rifle or something. That would be pretty awesome.
4. Cortana? Nah, too obvious. She's already naked.
Anyone else have any ideas? Really, Metroid and Zelda are the only retro games I like enough for a tattoo. I refuse to get a Mario tattoo for personal reasons. Kerrigan or Cortana would be cool, but those are fairly recent games and don't have meaning in my childhood like Metroid does. Either way I like the Samus idea best. I don't care if you think it's shallow or crass, I think it would be really cool if done right.

I definitely like the idea of a Samus tattoo, and I think the way you described it would look pretty sweet. I dunno about the Zelda tat, for some reason the 12 year old Zelda from OoT keeps popping into my head. But yeah, I think those are pretty good tattoo ideas. Good luck!
Peace

I remember when I got my S-logo done last August, one of my friends was like "You should've gone to Chicago, there's awesome artists there!" and I just thought yea, if I'm going to drive hours just for a tattoo, I'm going all the way to Wisconsin. Yea, I definitely meant LEGAL Zelda.

So, here's what I've come up with for the Samus pin-up idea. This is just a CONCEPT, chances are I'll have it re-drawn when I have it done. Maybe I won't, if my skills suprise me. I think if I do decide to use my drawing exactly, the part that needs the most work is the right arm. And she needs a face, but that's rather obvious.

if you're still open to advice, i'd say use the hair she had at the end of hunters... more realistic (and respectable. seriously, zero suit samus is more of a non-respectable sex object than anything else nowadays )
Hi, I'm Silver_Skree, and I make bad decisions!

Her shoulders don’t seem broad enough, and she should be more muscular.
I don’t know much about boobs, but those look weird, and one looks bigger than the other.
