Varia Suit wrote:1. Laggy as hell, that is all.
It wasn't THAT laggy. It was only moderately laggy.
2. Control Scheme is bad, Needs a 3DS remake.
I know a lot of people are going to go crazy when they hear you actually suggest they remake
Hunters, but I think you're right. The 3DS analog sticks...Well, they're not really analog sticks, are they? The analog pads
would work great for Hunters.
3. Doesnt make any canonical sense, why does she have her ship from Super? She doesnt get that 'till Metroid 2! What happened to the Prime 1 Ship?! I LOVED THAT ONE!
Did you look very closely at the ship? It is exactly like the one from Prime 1, aside from the lesser graphics. Actually, she gets her Super Metroid ship in Metroid Prime 2, then she ditches it for some random ship in Prime 3, and then goes back to it in Metroid 2.
4. Beam Ammo?
Armstrong Houston does not approve.
Metroid Prime 2 had beam ammo. Granted, a lot of people hated that one too...
Adam does not authroize the use of NORMAL FUCKING CONTROLS.
Why would they use normal
controls? Did Metroid Prime have normal controls? I feel like that Gamecube control scheme completely changed the way I viewed first person controls. The difference is that the Gamecube Prime games' completely abnormal control scheme worked
6. Unimaginitive bosses, Just use the normal bosses from every Metroid game.
The bosses weren't unimaginative, they were just repetitive. There was nothing wrong with either boss fight other than that there were only two. Reusing old bosses would be great for a while but would begin to feel tired and unimaginative if they didn't add anything new.
7. Plus, its a FPS, on a DS screen, CALL OF DUTY I AM LOOKING AT YOU!!
What is this I don't even... You can't blame the game for just existing. Of course it's a first person game on the DS. That's not what makes it bad, it's the execution that does. You don't need to bring up that awful series here, either. None of the Modern Warfare ports to the DS came out before Hunters, you realize that right? And there HAVE been successful first person shooters on the DS.
8 Backtracking =/= Adventure game.
I'm pretty sure all Metroid games have some sort of backtracking. Again, it's how it's handled that makes the difference.
9. Should have been on Gamecube, or Wii.
That's another ignorant demand. Hunters was conceived as a Metroid Prime game on the DS. Porting it over to other consoles would have only made things worse, and if it were made specifically for the Wii/Gamecube then why would it even be necessary? There was already a Prime 3 coming out for the Wii.
10. Visuals just plain out Suck, Anti Ailiasing anyone?
Again, you're making unrealistic demands and assumptions. The DS hardware isn't good enough to make the visuals much better. You can complain, but it's not the game's fault as much as it is the fault of the DS itself. I thought Hunters' visuals were pretty good for a DS game, blocky or not.
11. I couldnt even beat the game becuase I kept RANDOMLY turning into Morph Ball, Really, WTF.
Uh...That's user error. Blame the control scheme.
There are tons of good reasons to dislike Metroid Prime Hunters, but I don't think you've listed any of them.
