Re: Metroid CosplayI have a really flat butt. A lot of people called me a pancake ass when they saw my ZSS pictures. It kinda made me feel crummy. Then I went all out, said fuck it, and did a Cammy cosplay.
I hate my ass. Deflated from extreme weight loss ![]() |

Re: Metroid CosplayThat sucks :<
Get a butt bra! Hahah I lost all my ass when I was really underweight after hospital. Which as it happens was just before my first samus wearing/photoshoot. |
|
Re: Metroid CosplayI never knew the shape of your butt was so important to you ladies, though I guess it must be when you do cosplay. Sorry to hear that people were mean to you about it, Zadra! And Mew, thats some bad timing. D:

Re: Metroid CosplayBe thankful you both don't have massive thighs and a large bottom, I can never get rid of those
On the subject of shiny vs non-shiny zero suits in the games I think I may have a reason why they haven't been shiny in past games but appear shiny in M:OM, technical limitations. I've just been looking at some of the official art work and a render from some of the games pre M:OM and to me they appear to show a shiny zero suit: http://www.metroid-database.com/mzm/art ... ckside.jpg http://images.wikia.com/ssb/images/b/bf ... rtwork.png http://www.metroid-database.com/sb3/zsshires.jpg I believe it's always been the intention to have the zero suit appear glossy. However in zero mission it's pretty hard to get that effect across with limited amount of pixels: http://29.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_l5gkm ... r1_500.png Then we have the Prime and smash bros in-game iterations surely it would be no problem for these 3D games to show the shiny effect? Sadly no, as the Prime games are all essentially gamecube games they have limited graphical capabilities plus they used DVDs which have limited storage. One such limitation is the ability to widely use specular maps which are used to define how much light reflects of an object, in other words how shiny something is. Same deal with normal maps but they have different purposes. Anyway its possible that due to these limitation they couldn't show the zero suit they wanted to and had to make do with using diffuse maps only. However I noticed that during my recent play through of the prime trilogy that some models did appear to use specular maps in Prime 2 and 3 so I don't know. I've not played smash bros so cant comment on them fully but perhaps the same applies there? The render linked above looks shiny though for sure. |

Re: Metroid CosplayI should get something like a butt bra (I'd be fooling the world and getting posted in /cgl/ dat ass threads, oh joy)
But I think it would really make my costume look better. I'm actually dressing up this weekend at PAX East. But no butt bra. I'll just have to arch my back and push it out or something. hahaha But yeah. FlatFlatFlatFlatFlat: ![]() Seriously. No one is going to deny that flatness, lol. ![]() |
|
Re: Metroid CosplayUnfortunately that is quite flat. :c
I won't insult you by trying to flatter you about it or anything, but I also cannot deny you look quite cute either way! :3 AND I WOULD KILL TO GO TO PAX. EERRGGH. |

Re: Metroid Cosplay
Luckily the rest of your body is hot enough that it doesnt matter Ok I was gonna post pictures showing how the zero suit isnt shiny, but my computer crashed and now I'm not bothered. It looks better matte though. More like an athlete's uniform than a fetish outfit. Which is how I like to see it. Also I came across this image again in my file, and I think that hairstyle's fucking hot. I'm really tempted to do my MZM photoshoot with that hairstyle instead. I'll just wait for my hair to grow out to the right length ![]() Also if anyone has any suggestions for a MZM photoshoot... fire away! I'll be going into the mountains to do some shots from the small cutscene after the crash But thinking of other things too. |
|
Re: Metroid CosplayIf you want me to try to photoshop the space pirate's mother ship in one of the shots, I can give it a bash.
I'll open a new thread later on about the zero suit so can take the discussion there instead of here. |
|
Re: Metroid Cosplay
I'm sure theres thousands of threads about the zero suit, dont bother ![]() |
|
Re: Metroid Cosplay
There's three, one about M:OM heels, one about if she needs it to activate the power suit and another about some fusion suit theory but guess your right though, all there can be said has already been discussed now. Thanks for politely rejecting my offer also |

Re: Metroid Cosplay
I know people don't really pay me any attention in this thread and just ignore me, and I have no idea what the mountains down there are like, but I think it might be kind of neat to do a heroic sort of battle pose overlooking a nice view of the area! |

Re: Metroid CosplayI'm actually doing a photoshoot this weekend in my zero suit, but it's going to be at PAX...
Does anyone here live in the Boston area? Maybe know any places that would make for a good shoot? I hate "photoshoots" with convention backgrounds. P.S: Thanks Mewtwo I worked so so so so so hard to get this slim (if you read my article, I used to weigh 200 pounds )As for my thighs, that must be because I walk and bike a lot. But hell, I would THINK my butt should get toned from the biking too. *sigh* Can't have it all I guess. ![]() |
|
Re: Metroid CosplayI don't know much about Boston... But maybe one of the metro tunnels? That'd be pretty awesome, I think.
But I'm no help anyways. |

Re: Metroid Cosplay
INORITE?! I remember finding that image a while back and being ticked they didn't use it in the official art. In regards to the latex, I guess I'm just (selectively?) blind. ![]()
