"Brinstar Overgrown with Vegetation" from Super Metroid is the best.

"Norfair Ancient Ruins Area" (SM) and "Kraid's Chamber" (Metroid) are amazing, also.

I suppose...Super Metroid's title theme, The Tunnel in Metroid II, and Metroid Prime's Title and Select screen.
So Metroid-goody.
Also, yes, Stemage's Metroid Metal project is very good.
I mean, combining Metroid and Metal is plain awesome.

I bought both the Varia Suite and Expansion Pack CDs not too long ago.
Anyways...
Brinstar Red Soil from Super is my favorite,
such a deep and mysterious track.
Second would be Prime's file select menu theme.

I like listening to that little piano diddy from Other M every so often, but I also kinda dig Ridley's theme from Other M seeing as how I've heard it a ton in the last coupla days.

Ridley's lair theme from the original, ZM's version isnt as catchy imo. That said, Ridley's battle theme is epic, i like any remix. it could be played on a bottle and jaw harp and would still sound doom impending O.O Kraid's lair theme, again from the original, ZM's is good but i dont like that extra part with the long drawn-out organ part. MP2 multiplayer, yes i know its a remix of SM's green brinstar, but this one i like better, most likely due to being faster. (The original sounded oddly like an MJ song, anyone else think so?) Red Brin is epic still. And one i hate= SPORE SPAWN BATTLE THEME. hate all you want, i find it monotonous.

I always liked the Spore Spawn battle theme.

I felt it conveyed the feeling of "huh, a big plant is trying to kill me," quite well.

He (it?) seemed like just a filler boss, really.
The GOOD thing, tho, that his (its?) reward are the Super Missiles.

my all time favorite is kraid's hideout from the NES metroid. its amazing how a simple 8 bit tune could give off such a creepy feeling. i also like:

The VS SA-X theme was kinda short but I think it fits really well when depicting (or setting the mood for) a bloody vicious butchering! >:)

I love all the Metroid music, but especially the Trilogy music. The MP3 credits music is beautiful. The first Tallon Overworld theme is wonderful, fitting the rain forest perfectly. All the music is just stupendous.
