:awesome:

OK. I have played it for a while, just to check it out. I have not been able to wall jump or run though? I am using a control pad because I cant play on keyboards.

I have never had problems doing these things in any other Metroid game? Are these abilities that you earn?

Thanks if anyone can knows, I read the read me text file but found nothing about this in it. I might try playing a bit different of reconfiguring my pad again later to see if it helps.

Thanks in advance if anyone knows.

Readme's are totally useless these days :P

You need the speedcore to run and walljump.

I want a virtual console version that I have to pay for now! :D But seriously Tokinsom, great job, and I really would pay money to play the finished version. And good work getting mentioned on ign :awesome: good luck :thumbsup:

Edit: Wow, that first boss reminds me of those two pirates outside of ridley's chamber when I went through super the first time (as in, it killed me about fifteen times in a row with ease) Its amazing how you not only captured metroid's atmosphere, but its difficulty too :D

All in all a grand and solid project! Tight controls, stylish retro graphics, catchy music and splendid design throughout! Just D/L'd and beat it, took about 45~50 minutes. Short but definitely sweet. No clue if I found everything, by the end I had 2 Energy Tanks and 3 Missle Tanks. Overall it was relatively easy, up untill that boss, which still only took 3 tries to beat, so I'd say challenging without being punishingly difficult. By and far the best Metroid game I've played in nearly four years. NOW TAKE MY MONEY AND MAKE A FULL LENGTH METROID GAME!
The last metroid is in captivity. All's well in the galaxy.

Sounds like you set missile and start (pause) to the same button.

wow what a fantastic demo. Ive been waiting for a chance to play this ever since I heard about it. Youve done an amazing job.
You really did manage to capture to mood of what makes a metroid game even with a cute Samus spirte. I especially like the foggy area with that black creature running along the ground. scared me the first time. looking forward to a final product.

BTW what did the 3 last people in the credits do for the game? You guys did an amazing job.

The there must be something else wrong.
I did the following:
left, righ, up, down.
jump=space
run=left shift
shoot=left ctrl
missiles=left alt
start=enter
select=right shift

I cannot pause the game with enter

edit:
I changed my start button to backspace but didn't work.
when i press alt to shoot, the game freezes, until i press it again, or until i waited for 1 minute.
i also changed the missile fire to the x button, and then it works, but still i cannot set the game to pause

Mad Mega You can not use ALT as a button. It freezes (pauses) the game. Alt is suppose to be used for menu functions. I guess they forgot about this or didnt account for it to be used as a playable button.

Here's an addition to go along with that last thing you said

and I agree with the rest of your opinions as well, an amazing metroid game. I hope you're taking notes from this nintendo! Minitroid is so far definitely comparably to the best 2-d metroid games

Super fun! Except I can't get past the first boss. I found a strategy that was working for me, except then it had a second form -_-;

Oh well I will try again later. It really feels like a supercharged NES game.
