An ice beam that makes frozen enemies drop to the ground (like Other M)
Wave Beam that can short out Electric components (meaning you'd have to be careful aboard ships and such)
Shoot out the lights and use the Thermal Visor anyone?

I'm not really enthusiasthic about that beam, really. It's just an Ice Beam that actually follows the law of gravity.

Why would you need to shoot out the lights, really? In Metroid Prime, the lights only go out to favor the Shadow Space Pirates.

I was thinking something purplish, called something epic like the X Beam or the Brain Beam, that can cause enemies, such as metroids, to turn on their allies. Useful if surrounded.
