Epic Latin Choir Music= EPIC WIN!

Wow... I was sold on the trailer from the opening seconds (big sucker for Latin vocals), but this gamereally looks uber-serious. The CERO C Rating is starting to make more and more sense...

Look NOA-- there are ZELDA elements. METROID elements. GOD OF WAR-like elements. I THINK THIS MAY SELL MORE THAN JUST A FEW COPIES OVER HERE, PEOPLE.

This game is gonna end up under one of four categories:
1 - Really, really bad and easily forgotten.
2 - Wicked awesome and known as one of the last great games for the Wii, a great send-off for the console.
3 - Wicked awesome but under-appreciated by the masses for some absurd reason until a retrospective article circulates the internet years later that pegs it as one of the best games for the Wii that went tragically unnoticed and under-appreciated.
4 - Mediocre at best but gains a cult following that demands a sequel for the new Nintendo console, which it gets and is insanely better than the original.

God*mnit, Sorlac! Stop being so awesome!

Also, although I hate most Latin choirs, I will admit, this one was pretty good, and was not too overdramatic. (I am looking at you, Requiem for a dream! >:( )

I don't think I'll get excited for this game until I see:
a) some really over the top special moves like there are in many other fighting games :awesome:
b) tons of collectible items/spells used to progress through the game :ice:
c) really clever puzzles, enemies, or level design :metroid:
If any one of these is done, then I'll join in the hype

Edit: It looks like "b" is certain plausible, as I saw him using the sword and chain from trailer uno along with an axe, a shield, and what looked like a bow and arrow in the new trailer
Did I mention that I FREAKING LOVE THE BOW AND ARROW!!!!! ... cause I do...
AND MORE DETAILS & ART KEEP ON COMING.

The Cast:

andriasang wrote:To fight the curse, you must obtain the flesh of beasts that you encounter in the various towers that serve as the game's stages. By eating the flesh, Ceres can dampen the effects of the curse.

As you play, you can see the current state of the curse through a circular gauge in the lower left corner of the screen. When this empties completely, the game ends.

The real prize is the flesh of the tower masters who lay deep within each tower. However, the effects of the curse can also be temporarily reversed with the flesh of the smaller servant creatures that roam the towers. If you observe the curse gauge approaching zero, you'll want to take temporary leave of the tower to go feed your friend.

Man, talk about what sounds like an intensely paced game.... I bet this will be really fun for speed-runners. (sure hope there won't be too convoluted a method of backtracking to Ceres, though.) If it isn't completely linear, I suspect that, like in Metroid and many other games, common enemies will respawn in previous rooms.

The hype machine's readings are off the chart! I know you will all hate me for saying this, but I am now more excited for this than Skyaward Sword! :awesome:

Have they announced if this is coming out in the US? They showed a blurb on it in the new Nintendo Power, but it doesn't mention it's coming out here. Knowing Nintendo, my guess is it will be Japan-only, like the original Sin and Punishment...

I also say looking at the screens and art design, it makes me think they're either using the same artists or the same engine as Twilight Princess - colors and style looks almost the same.

Just checked the cast for the game and holy crap, it really IS the same voice actress as Sawako from Kimi Ni Todoke.

Reminds me of the time I saw 2012 and thought to myself: "Man, this movie sucks! I wouldn't be surprised if it was directed by Roland Emmirech", only to discover in the beginning of the credits that it actually WAS directed by Roland Emmirech.

Back on topic.....

I'm in the same boat as Cap... no US release in sight!?!?!? Looks like it could be the best Wii game ever made...
