No matter what, Pixar's new movies are always something to take a look at, so I'll probably end up watching it. I really like the concept art!
Also, Rio was pretty fun! But that might have something to do with me being from Brazil and such.

Re: BraveI haven't seen Cars or Ratatouille, but I'm pretty sure I watched all the other ones. Toy Story and Bug's Life were childhood favorites, and I really enjoyed both Wall-E and Up, even older.

Re: BraveThe only Pixar movie I have not seen is Cars.
The only Pixar movie I didn't rave about was Ratatouille. It was good, but not phenomenal. I just didn't find it as interesting as the other films. "I am tired of being under the weight of greedy men who don't believe in anything."

Re: BraveI haven't seen Up yet.

Re: BraveI have to kind of side with IE on this, but I haven't been a big fan of their latest creations. However, I did find Up to be interesting, and the first part of Wall-E compelling, but the second half was insulting. I guess I just don't like this sort of animation that much anymore, or at least don't find the narratives compelling. Though I can certainly see why kids would like it.
As for Brave... There's already a videogame with that name. I like the concept art, but there's no way they can make it look as intriguing for me as animation (and you want some awesome animation, see Mia and the Migoo or The Book of Kells. Pixar has yet to demonstrate this diversity of styles, though 3D graphics are perfectly capable of it). The sleep of Reason produces monsters.

Re: BraveYou know, this looks fun and quirky, but I probably won't see it until it's on Netflix or something, if at all. Pixar is okay. The Incredibles is my favorite out of their body of work. Up had some fun moments. For different reasons, their stuff just doesn't appeal to me overall. I definitely hope it's a good movie.
I love a lot of what's coming out of other countries recently though - The Book of Kells, Nocturna, The Illusionist, haven't seen Persepolis yet but looking forward to it, and can't wait to see The Rabbi's Cat. ![]() |

Re: BraveCars 2 out tomorrow. Will there be a Brave trailer?

Re: Brave
Doubt it. There was no Cars 2 trailer in Toy Story 3, there was no Toy Story 3 trailer in Up, there was no Up trailer in Wall E, etc... I am almost certain there will be some kind of cameo/preview/easter egg hidden in Cars 2. Toy Story 3 had a poster of Finn McMissile or whatever his name is in Andy's room. Re: BraveWell, there's a movie poster and a still but why no trailer?
Edit: To those who don't know where to find said media, I have them dreadfully attached here, because I cannot ever link to photos without having to have someone fix them. "Yeah, right, trying to trick me again. Well, Harley Quinn is nobody's fool, anymore."

Re: BraveSo I just watched Cars, mostly out of curiosity. I found it to be pretty entertaining, despite not being, in fact, on par with some other stuff Pixar made. As a car geek, I enjoyed the references, but I thought the mix between obviously recognizable cars with generic vehicles and some that were in between was pretty weird. There were obviously Porsches, Ferraris and that one Corvette reference, but why didn't they identify McQueen as an Impala?

Re: BraveOmg why do all the 3D princesses have to look like little children? I thought Rapunzel was fugly and now Merida is too.

Re: Brave...Because they are targeted towards little children... Though, the median age of the Disney princess is generally 16, so I wouldn't expect them to look too much older (unless they are heavy drinkers/smokers, which is beyond the scope of Disney).
...I thought Tangled's Rapunzel was cute... And I don't see anything really wrong with Brave's Meridia (yes, you read right)...yet. Need to see more before I can judge properly, but I like what I've seen so far. ![]() X-Ray Scope Acquired! |

Re: BraveWell like, at certain points like maybe when she steps out into the light after Flynn wakes up, Rapunzel looks good, but her eyes are way too big, the nose should've been done better and idk about the freckles. As for Merida, if they could make her face a little thinner, she looks pretty good but they need to work on it a bit. But Rapunzel was 18 and Merida... we don't really know yet, but I assume maybe 19.
Also, how is that arrow going to do shit to that bear? And what a badass Scottish accent! "Yeah, right, trying to trick me again. Well, Harley Quinn is nobody's fool, anymore."
I really love Wikia, FOX and Nintendo. Really... -_- |

Re: BraveThe trailer looks meh, but Disney is known for giving all their good movies sh*tty trailers (With the exception of Tron Legacy, which had FANTASTIC trailers!), so the movie itself will probably be pretty goshdarned great as always.

Re: BraveThat. Was. AWESOME. Dripping with atmosphere. They've really nailed the vegetation and awe inspiring landscape of Scotland. Horses are notoriously hard to convincingly animate, and it looks like they did a great job there, too. It's nice to see a horse w/o eyebrows- bless Pixar, who took two seconds to think it through and realized that, instead of sticking stupid eyebrows on animals in order to make them expressive, you just add more mass to the brow region to broaden the character's range of expression. See: Finding Nemo.
I think Merida looks great. I don't know what else you guys are expecting- she looks to be about 14-15, with a tough mien. I'm glad she's not an anorexic super model- our young girls need a better heroine than that. Cap: What part of Wall-E did you find insulting? ![]()
