Clearly stated in the first post that it was June 10th.

If people still really want to contribute a video I guess I can still receive them but no promises and no guarentees after today.

You're still welcome to make one but I can't guarentee it'll make it to the video.

Update: I've changed the thread to a sticky rather than a global announcement as the period of submitting new videos has ended.

This isn't really a tribute, but something that deeply affected me today. I was at the beach for a chunk of the day. In front of my tent was a group of chairs. But only one person sat on them. A girl. I thought of her as Samus. Samus was right in front of me, all alone. Nobody was there to celebrate her 25th anniversary. Were it the real Samus, I would've gone up to those chairs and sat beside her. Would you?

But, in tribute, I destubbed all stub articles. Samus would approve.

I really love Wikia, FOX and Nintendo. Really... -_-

Why didn't you go sit with the lonely girl anyway.

The red links and stubs are gone. But there are many more populations of wiki flaws to be exterminated. And it's metroid.wikia.com.

I've been lurking for a while now. But I figured that I'd mention that surprisingly, Achievement Hunter/Rooster Teeth will be celebrating Metroid's 25th by streaming Super Metroid, Metroid Prime 1-3 and Metroid Other M among other Metroidvania styled games this Wednesday.

It's airing today then. I might watch it.

Speaking of more Metroid news, I know they posted this on the home page a few days ago but All Your History: Metroid has another new episode posted. Go here if you want to watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcCpUK-A ... h_response

These are okay, but unfortunately teach me nothing new. :P
And it irks me that they don't credit our site. There is no other way they could have found out about much of that stuff without our translated article that Devin did a while back, but got little credit on. Not to further push the issue, but everyone's treating this new knowledge like it's the Holy Grail of Metroid trivia, even when the magazine article itself was published in 2004.... :/

The dude also claims '94 was the "tail end" of the SNES's life cycle, and that is what contributed to SM's poor sales... o_O what kind of shit is this dude smoking!? 96 was the end, not 94 (when the N64 was released). We still got Yoshi's Island AND Donkey Kong Country in the coming years, two of the best 2D games ever made! IIRC, the SNES held its own against the PS1 for quite a while. I also think he's coming up with false conclusions on things that come off as pure speculation, and treating them as fact, further pointed out that the name of the series is "All your HISTORY"...which leads people to believe that everything he's saying is the truth. It's videos like that that make our real history skewed, and I don't approve of that.

SNES was dead way before PS1 came along here in UK.

building off infinity's end, IGN posted an article on metroid that said "6 things you didn't know about samus aran" or something like that. it was all the basics like how they made the morph ball cause it was easier to animate than crawling, or how they decided that samus would be a woman in a meeting. they were treating it like it was the most amazing and secret of trivia, and "challenging" the hardcore metroid fans to get them all right. literally, it said: "think you're a hardcore metroid fan? think again." or something along those lines in the subtitles. the fact that basic trivia is being treated, in you words, as the "Holy Grail" is just annoying.
we're the french, and everyone else are the knights of the round table. we beat them to castler arrgghh and then dumped out chamber pots upon their english heads. those knnnnnigits.
