Stretched images always look awful, horrible, ugly, disgusting, illegible, nauseating, and just plain annoying. Stretched images are bad, bad, bad.

So very, very true. Especially when it's from 100x100 to 1024x768. Way too much stretching.

Then make your desktop smaller....Its not that hard, and it makes everything closer. But less room...

Are you... serious? You can't get much smaller than 1024x768. And if you did get smaller than that, if would just be unbearable. Many modern programs don't even run properly in a resolution lower than 1024x768.

When it comes to resolution, the more, the merrier.

I have tons of awesome wallpapers about random awesomeness that shuffle as my desktop theme. If anyone wants it, I can share some of my favorites.

Yeah, because Microsoft just loves being cheap, my computer came with Windows 7 Starter, so I can't change my desktop background. So not much to see here.

Thanks for the offer, VGM, but some of the stuff glitched up on me while I was trying to install it, so that's not really gonna work. I've dealt with this wallpaper for nine months now, and I can deal with it for a while longer (how long, I don't know).

my duel monitor desktop image that I just finished. Both of my monitors are actually 1920x1200 each, so its full resolution is 3840x1200. I quickly threw a bunch of random design stock imagery in there and called it done.
