Samus and Morph Ball Side by Side(I'd like to compare)

Alright call me weird but can someone post a picture of Samus in her power suit AND her Zero suit with the morph ball side by side with as well side view on her power suit and zero suit(You don't have to do side view if you don't wanna). I'm always curious of the morph ball and it's proportions in contrast to her body and suit. If the morph ball is small, medium, or huge like Prime(It was PRETTY HUGE).

*Side note* Did anyone find the speed boosters in Other M a bit...slow..? I would've loved it to speed up as fast as the shine spark and the shine spark to be even faster. I dunno it just seemed slow...

wouldn't mind seeing how it looks in comparison either.
proportions change from game to game. but I think Other M hit the middle ground for size.




as for the speed booster, felt no faster than the Fusion/Zero mission versions.

it's probably "Slow" so you can time shinesparking a lot easier.
manuals say it's supposed to be supersonic, imagine how insanely hard it would be to time that in the small area's in a Metroid game.

are you kidding? going F-Zero in the hall way would be fun! i mean, its not as if there wernt hallways specificly MADE for shiney'ing....and are really....really...fucken long...and shouldve had faster sparking...

Yeah I would've liked to go at least the speed of the shine spark it self now THAT would've been fun. Besides, areas where ur supposed to use it are really...REALLY long anyway. The part before that one eyed boss, I was speed boosting all the way back and it took FOREVER. And her boosters seem so ennefficient in the game (I know it's game mechanic) but I mean when she was running from that avalanche...if that wall was just a meter closer the boosters would'nt have had activated she would've been looong gone by then.

I think it was the loading times. We all suffered with them using the speed booster anyways. He probably cut it in half to make it less noticable.

Forgive my lack of photoshot skills...

The first two lines is what I suposse would be Samus real height if she wasnt runing (maybe it should be a little taller now that I look at it again), the last lines are the heigth of the morphball. Remember that in the primes the morphball is not exactly 1mt of diameter, that is the diameter of the pipes she navigates and there is always some extra space in there.


Also, after seeing the loading times for many rooms in other m its clear now to me why Retro did not even attempt to implement the speed booster (they did say it in that terrible kotaku interview though)

Still looks pretty big though O.O
I mean Samus is about two tiles and the ball is about 1 tile(Darn I hate it when it's a 2:1 ratio). I vastly prefer Super's 3:1 ratio cause it makes it seem way more helpful than oversized air ducts. Though it is a lot smaller than Primes that was about the length of Samus' shoulders(IN HER SUIT!) This one is about the length of the suit's red body which I think is a lot more suitable.
I compared it to Anthony himself when I was fighting along side with him and it's about a 3:1 ratio though Anthony IS pretty tall.

About the speed boosters...I did a test and it is SLOW. It's even slowerer than those flies protecting the queen in that giant nest, SLOWER than when those small spiky creatures "jump" attack you! Like WTF! It's even more mest up than the GF having power bombs!

ok the reason why the morph ball is so big..

So shoulder pads absorb the spikes and all other metal on the power suit, and samus goes part energy so she can fit in it better.

In Metroid Prime, the tunnel in one of the rooms in the Chozo Ruins says that it's 1 meter in diameter. The Morph Ball would need to be slightly smaller to roll through, meaning it's about 75 cm., or two and a half feet.

Good enough?

That took a while, but it's good. The size seems to be similar to MPT. And even though the idea of Samus' pauldrons shifting into the Morph Ball should have been thrown out a long time ago, especially with respect to MF and MP2, this image obviously shows that Samus would need larger pauldrons.
