I am usually pretty collected when I play games...probably because my dad used to tell me that I was in control of the game when I was a kid. He said I should just stop playing if it is not fun and try again later, even though he broke a controller throwing it However, I have had problems. Those of wich I remember the most are: Castlevainia 2 (Simons Quest) I got really mad because I could not figure out where to go, and compleatly stopped playing the game untill I found an old nintedo power at a friends house that explained the ridculess shit you have to do to progress. I had to stop playing super castlevainia 4, on the stage before dracula.
buzzsaw and falling stairs
I think i had been playing too long without a break though One of my favorite games! The original legacy of Kain blood omen, My first copy I got off a friend and it froxe and skipped a bit. Also this game is really hard Devil May Cry on the highest difficulty. Just fucking nonsense, but I was dumb enough to beat it. I had a headache though. I had a splitting headache (migrain) going through the challange mode of god of war, I made it to the last one, challange 10 and I had to quit. I will not try again either Mortal Kombat 2011 Shao Kahn in story mode. I had to lower the difficulty after two hours almost trying to beat him, absolutly not fun.
Those who follow rules, have failed to follow their hearts.-Me -I often find it easier to find truth in the dark. Where others failed to see, or are afraid to look.

After seeing AVGN's review of Simon's Quest, I do honestly wonder how the game became a classic in the first place.....

At least from the perspective of the Space Pirates.

I know right?! In RE5 my rage is limited to throwing my controller into my sofa and calling Sheva some rather unmentionable things. (And she is seriously the problem, she just sits there and stares at me while I fall down dead. She doesn't move or anything. On pro, the dying bar goes down twice as fast and Sheva doesn't seem to get the idea that she can move in a straight line because when I'm dying, she runs a few feet, turns, then runs in that direction, turns back to me, then runs to me and watches me die.)

I actually still enjoy Simon's Quest. I do agree with the shortcomings that the Nerd pointed out about it, and I can't help but wonder how anyone without a subscription to Nintendo Power could have ever figured out what to do and where to go. Still, it was the first Castlevania I ever played, and for that reason I suppose I still think on it more fondly than others.
Anyway, back on topic. Nerd rage seems to hit me the most when I'm playing fighting games. Unless I'm playing on the easiest difficulty (and sometimes even that's no guarantee), AI opponents are often relentless, able to block, counter, and perform moves with inhuman precision. It gets especially bad when they start turtling. Sometimes it gets to the point where I feel I have just as good a chance at winning a match by just putting the controller down and doing nothing.
A more recent example occurs when I'm playing Fallout (3 or New Vegas), in what I like to call "reload screw". I can't tell you how many times I'm fighting an enemy, or a group of enemies, oh look, I have to reload my gun. As I do so, I notice that my health is getting low. I'm mashing the 'O' button to go to the menu so I can use a healing item, but the game doesn't let me do that while I'm reloading. I'm completely defenseless until my 'reload' animation is finished, and during that time, the enemies are often able to kill me. Hope I saved recently; if not, there's gonna be some nasty language.

Hah! I remember one day, I was playing Star Fox: Assault for the Gamecube, and I was about to kill the Aparoid Queen! But then, OH THEN, right as I fired the last shot that would've killed her... I died. Thanks to a lucky shot on her part, the shot that killed her hit her too late. I actually ended up beating Star Fox: Assault the next day, but it makes this no less frustrating. I almost broke my friend's GameCube controller by throwing it at the wall, before he gave me a wicked glare (he was sitting in the same room as me) that said to me: If you break that controller, I swear to god I'll
rip your goddamn f***ing head off and shove it right up your f***ing @$$hole, you son of a b**ch!
Sooo... yeah

I've been playing Chrono Trigger for the first time on the Wii's virtual console. I think it's become my favorite rpg ever. The game hasn't been that difficult... Except for the final form of the last boss. I've hurled my controller across the room just recently.

I would have to say the whole time I fought Demon Wall in FFVII was a rage fest. I hated all it's retarded movements before it attacked. I hated that it's attack always seemed to KILL ME almost instantly for some reason, and I just hate hate hated it! That was my worst case of cursing

I had quite a few anger bouts trying to beat the Spider Guardian and Omega Pirate in the Prime series the first time around. Ridley in Other M was also a pain. It was also (and to an extent, still is) a pain in the ass to kill all the Metroids the queen spawns. (Boy, am I glad she doesn't do that in M2ROS! )

Mario Strikers Charged. That stupid, final challenge with Diddy Kong. Attempted at least 30 times. 30 TIMES. Sorry. I...just really freaked out when I lost that many times. One other moment of game rage: Metroid:Other M. Hard mode. Ridley. Also 30 times. Yes Ridley, I know you despise me. Now please die.
Opinions are opinions, not facts. Though, everyone is entitled to their opinion, of course. Even Metroids and Ridley, the unkillable beast. Viva Les Alpha et Omega Metroids. Kraid should be brought back, he needs some good 'ol Metroid love.

Recently... I had a rage fit over the rhythm mine cart jumping and ducking in Lufia: Curse of the Sinistrals. Mostly because it was stupid and I couldn't believe that I could do that horribly at it. I put the game down for a couple months before I decided to pick it back up and try again. Also had some rage over Sector 2 in Other M. Stupid moose-thing in the tight corridor with the things shooting ice at me. I was about to strangle something after four or five failtastic attempts. So I went back to Animal Crossing.
