Some tips from the coolest dude around*:


1) it's generally considered in poor taste to make a topic over every single question you have. I get the feeling that this is one of, if not the, first forum you've ever posted on, so a handy hint from me is to not "clog up" the forum space with topics talking about every single song track or suit you like, or every single boss that gives you a rough time.


2) speaking of bosses, FAQs, walkthroughs, and videos exist for a reason. Use GameFAQs to your advantage.
And you know, if that doesn't work, USE THE SEARCH ENGINE IN THE FORUM, because chances are, you are NOT THE FIRST PERSON who has had trouble with Omega Pirate on these forums. Type in, I dunno, "need help with Omega Pirate" in the Prime forums, check the "topics" option, and see what pops up.

3) I am not saying never make a topic, ever, but try searching for similar topics before you make them. Stuff like "general music thread" or "favorite tracks from Metroid [game]" instead of a thread for each track. Because that is kind of silly.

4) When in doubt, grammar and punctuation never hurt. Only help.


Hell, I just googled "Omega Pirate strategy" and found a bunch of hits. Come on now man.

If you're playing the GCN version, use Super Missiles to blow off his muscles. If you're playing the Wii version, use normal missiles. When he vanishes, quickly kill the rainbow troopers he summons, then switch to the X-ray Visor. When he appears over one of the Phazon patches, hit him with a Super Missile. He will vanish and reappear on another phazon patch. Quickly hit him with another super missile and switch back to the combat visor. He will reappear with half his health drained away. Repeat the process to kill him and get the Phazon Suit.

I'm not a dick, but no.

Use Plasma beam on the phazon plated armor, dodging the phazon. Then when he goes invisible DO NOT USE X-RAY. This is a mistake to all beginners. First, kill the pirates that he calls down, then use X-ray, and before doing so, switch to Power Beam, use a Super missile on him, and keep looking around at the different patches of phazon. I usually get 3 shots in, which leaves one more hit.

use a mix of missiles and plasma on the armor. You can use power bombs on the Trilogy version. When he disappears and summons troopers kill 2 of them, and then use X ray visor to find him. Finally, attack with a combo weapon like wave buster or flamethrower. Repeat as needed.

Note:this is gamecube version!!!-First,shoot his armor stuff off. Then,when he calls Space Pirates,ignore them.If you have low health kill the Space Pirates. Next,when he disappears use x-ray visor to see him. Lastly,when you spot him,use Super Missiles as much as you can on him. You SHOULD be able to kill him in one or two rounds of the phazon puddle thing.
