What is your favorite suit?

I'm really, really not fond of Retro's new suit designs. I think they're all pretty heinous and not very Metroid-ish.

Well, none of the suit upgrades in Primes 2 & 3 were created by the Chozo, so, naturally, they're drastically different.

I don't really dig Retro's armor designs either. It's like they were trying too hard to make Samus look badass and the suits end up looking over-detailed (varia) or crude ( ) or just plain ugly (hazard shield).

that thing's awesome though. I don't get how you can call it heinous.

While the Light Suit is probably the most tolerable of the lot, I still don't like it. It's my personal opinion. I'd rather see her in the rather odd color combination of red, yellow, and purple of the Gravity Suit than any of those funky designs. (Red and purple, sure. Purple and yellow, great combo, that's color theory there. But the three together looks strange to my eye.)

I'd like it a lot more if it weren't covered in green lights for no reason. I guess I'm just picky though.

I could see that. That is a tad obnoxious, but it's kind of minor when you compare it to the Dark Suit and those fugly shoulder wheels that make Samus look like a super ugly Transformer.

Although I really do like the Other M design.

Again, I disagree, the dark suit looks badass to me, and NO I'm not trolling either, I genuinely like it

Really? I felt that the PED was one of the stronger designs. What don't you like about it? Probably the "deep-sea mines on her shoulders", as my friends say.

It's not a bad getup but you gotta admit it kinda looks like they stuck Samus' head on some other character's body.

I guess I'm just old school.

I think it's really under-rated, and I'd love to see it in 3d someday. She actually looks like a bounty hunter in that armor.

That's pretty much what I meant about the basic Power Suit in my initial post about the Varia being my favorite, but I like the aesthetic of the basic. Sucker's been around since the beginning, even if it has had a few makeovers throughout the years. But of each makeover, I like Super's and MZM's variants (which are pretty close to the same).

how exactly are you resurrecting this? the post before yours was the same day. and yes, the varia suit is amazing, but is BY FAR the coolest
