Well wether or not you think her face looks masculine (which, as you said, is an opinion), she IS a girl, even if her looks say otherwise.

Also, just what the f*ck am I supposed to be looking at?

Thats what -I- want to know!! Most of the photomanipulations with the cosplayer are cool (especially the one on the previous page), but this one, uh....
Lets just say, girl OR guy, she shouldn't make that face. Ever.

I put in a submission last month, and it was a bit of a pain, but they are going to give me $500 to create the Ridley costume out of high-quality archival materials so that I'll be able to show it in the Stedman Gallery later this spring. This time, we're purchasing some kind of airplane cables for the mouth's pulley system and using high-density foam to bring down the weight of the enormous pieces.[/i].

Be careful. When making good-quality stuff you will burn through that 500 really fast.

Thanks, I really don't know what to expect from the new media and it's a bit intimidating. I was very content with working in cardboard, but the head of our sculpture department said that it wouldn't fly in the gallery. (Even though I was partly inspired by Picasso's cardboard Synthetic Cubist sculptures of guitars. z<_<)

Anyway, at least it ought to be more resistant to damage. The first two have a bit of wear after a few uses.

Yep, when working with stuff you haven't used before you always wanna play around with a small bit of it to teach yourself how to use it. Half the work is just just getting past that learning curve. I'd even make a whole one out of cardboard first just for practice and to get all those little snags out. Scrounge as much as you can. Hit sites like instructables.com etc etc.

................Wait. Dark Samus is female?!!!

JK JK. I don't think it's feminine enough to count, though.

Does it matter either way?

Kind of gave up on the Adam cosplay, couldn't find suitable trims and stuff for the jacket and hat plus I've got too much else going on at the moment to give it any attention. :(
