Is there a Mario thread somewhere?

Funny thing is, you can't even search if there is a mario thread or not, because when you type "mario" in the search box it claims its too common of a word. Da fuck??

The thing with Mario... Unlike Zelda, Metroid, Pokémon and other series, the Mario community doesn't usually gather on a specific location to talk about Mario. The enormous Mario community is spread throughout the other Nintendo communities and Mario discussions often turn up when talking about other games. I think that's pretty interesting.

PS: I think there were threads about specific games (I'm certain there was one for Super Mario Galaxy 2, but I don't remember any for the series as a whole.

There has been word from Nintendo regarding a Paper Mario game on 3DS. A classic, RPG-style one at that. I don't know if it will match up to The Thousand Year Door, but it has me pretty excited. I'm actually a huge Mario fan as well as Metroid, both for their aesthetics. Metroid for basically putting you in an alien ant farm, and Mario just because it's kind of a pretty, happy colorful world.

Who here has fond memories of TTYD's Excess Express?

I LOVE TTYD!!!! Oh yes, the Excess Express! I really liked PM 64 and SPM too. It's a shame that not a whole lot of people like SPM because it's good for what it is, but it certainly does not stack up to TTYD, imo.
