Have you seen the Metroid Prime 3:Corruption 100% ending? The ship that followed Samus looks exactly like Sylux's ship. Well,almost. It could be Dark Samus's ship .(If it has one)

No. Not only would Dark Samus coming back again would be beyond retarded, but Dark Samus does not need a ship to fly.

I'm pretty sure that 100% epilogue thing Retro shoehorned in there was just them being dicks and it will probably never be wrapped up. Sylux was probably the only interesting character in Hunters but seeing how the Prime's world-building is seemingly being ignored by Sakamoto at the moment (please don't misinterpret that I'm saying that Sakamoto retconned them) and the fact that Hunters wasn't even made by Retro Studios (and the fans didn't like it past the multiplayer), I guarantee that we won't be seeing Sylux anytime soon.

Annnnnnyyyyyyywwaaaaaayyyyyys, honestly, I don't see Metroid Prime 4 being made. Didn't Retro at one point state the Prime series ended with Corruption? Though it could be a continuation of Hunters (maybe), but with actual exploration like a true metroid game. Here's hoping they bring Kraid back to the series at some point.

The mid-credits spoken epilogue pretty much tells you how it is. Samus never encountered Phazon again in her life. Metroid Prime is the story of the Metroid Prime. Metroid Prime is dead. Therefore, no more Metroid Prime games. If they really needed another one, the speech only says that Samus' conflict with Phazon is over. Another hero could potentially take up the mantle. It still would be a stretch because there would be no Metroid Prime, and what I inferred from the story was that any other conficts with Phazon would have been in other galaxies or realities.

If there are no more Metroid Prime games, does that mean Retro needs to abandon Metroid? NO WAY! We still need Metroid 5! And I don't know about everybody else, but I don't really care if it's a side scroller or a 'prime' styled game. It would kind of irk me a little if a Prime styled game was sold as a classic game (You know, it's just harder to classify that way) but ultimately a good story and a good game is what matters.

I remember reading an interview somewhere before Prime 3 came out where Retro said they would like to keep making Metroid games in the future. I wouldn't mind a continuation of Hunters and its little plot in SP mode, and Sylux, maybe have a bounty to capture or kill him be a sub-plot? Like others have said though, Prime is dead, a trilogy of games for it was enough and perfect, any more prime games would just be overkill and make Dark Samus become a Bowser/Dr. Wily to the Metroid series. That's Ridley's job.

I assume when people ask for Prime 4 they just mean a game that plays like the Prime trilogy and not a continuation of the story, which as pointed out came to a closure with Corruption.

I for one would like another Prime style game.

I could see Nintendo banking on the success of another Hunters-like game. Hunters actually sold fairly well for a Metroid game, and the current success of online multiplayer shooters might encourage Nintendo to try one.

I only hope that Retro or another competent developer is brought in so that the single-player doesn't make me cry.
