On topic though, I have to agree with the masses on the Other M suit. Very sleek and simple. Right behind it is the Prime suit. Pure awesomeness.

Am I the only one here who's always been unimpressed with Other M's Varia Suit? Even in those early days where we only had trailers of Other M, I was unimpressed with the suit's design. The overkill simplicity just makes it really bland.
Because of the simplistic outline and the only detailing being essentially just stripes with just enough depth added to them as to not look spray-painted, the suit just strikes me as lazily designed. Then again, aesthetics is something the Primes really excelled at and got better with each installment (I'm talking about the trilogy, don't know about Hunters) so I guess it's really difficult to top them there.

It does look kinda pointless... and EXCESSIVELY smooth... and the lines were actually a good attempt at giving it some dinamism, but the suit itself got SO bland, even the lines couldn't help it much...

They should have given it MUCH more work in the proportions, Like in brawl.

Oh, and don't worry, You haven't missed much. Samus's suit in hunters is quite about the same as in Prime 2.

I hate the Other M Varia suit as well.

...Call me crazy, but I actually like the impression of weight in my fictional power armours. If something isn't patently weighing several dozen pounds then it's not power armour. The Prime/M:OM suits are too light and nimble in my mind.

I agree it's fancy and stylish. But I'd rather have the classic Super Metroid one.

I absolutely love the Prime 1 Varia. No matter what anyone says about "christmas tree suit" or "wussy lights", it is the most epic looking one to me by far

Super/MII. By far. I think the lights are pretty overboard in the designs following after it. And for me, there's quite a bit of emotional attachment because most of my love for the series stemmed from the original three games.

I know it's silly to look at Samus' armor from a realistic point of view but it always bugged me that the empty space around her shoulders has more protection than her torso.

The Prime Varia is pretty sweet, Christmas lights and all! But you wanna talk about Christmas lights? The Hazard Shield from MP3. One with epilepsy should not look at that suit! That was overkill, in my opinion. (Sorry, I know this is a Varia Suit discussion, but I had to mention that!)

I have epilepsy and I don't get it.
