Welcome to dry mouth mornings. I dont smoke normally but when I go drinking I can smoke like 20 cigs, urgh, which isn't nice next morning, I suggest not starting to smoke. Also DPE, 25 years isn't old 25 is the new 21, or so my high as the sky mate told me last week

I'm honestly surprised that in this day and age, and what we know about smoking, people actually still do it.

And I wonder if we can get a poll around here? It would be interesting to see a statistical make up of MDb.

*Puts up flame shield* Ditto this. *sigh* Maybe I'm particularly sensitive because my mother in law has emphysema from excessive smoking and is on full oxygen probably until she dies. She's 51. As for me personally, it just drives my allergies crazy when people have smoked around me in the past. Like I can talk, I like to get drunk a couple times a month...Chris wrote:Also DPE, 25 years isn't old 25 is the new 21, or so my high as the sky mate told me last week It is compared to the many teenagers on this board! Ok, maybe middle-aged.

I can't stand cigarettes, either, personally, because they aggravate my allergies too, and pretty badly. On the other hand, I haven't had any troubles with a decent cigar or pipe. But those don't have nearly all the chemicals and crap that are found in cigarettes, and are not meant to be inhaled, either. A cigar or pipe is something I can enjoy once in a while. That's the nice thing about not being addicted to a thing and enjoying it (legally) occasionally. I guess that makes all the difference between "Hmm, I could enjoy this thing once in a while" and "OMG, I have to have this every 15 minutes or I will chew someone's face off". True that. By comparison, on this board, over 25 is on the old end if this thread is any indication.

My god, my husband's sister and brother get all premenstrual if they don't have their cigarettes. They call it "nic-fitting" and it makes me want to beat them with a chair. I agree though, I love to drink alcoholic beverages almost regularly, not to get drunk, but because it tastes good. On average I have maybe two drinks a week.Tianna wrote:True that. I hope you don't think I'm judging you, I just care. It sounds like you are being careful though.

Holy crap, Rinoa, Irish, German and Italian, seriously? So am I. Irish from the Potter family, German from another family whose name starts with A and I am not quite recalling (both German and Irish from my dad's side) and Italian from the Continos who moved to the US in the early 1900's from Sicily. My great-grandmother (mother's mother's mother) was the first born in the US, in Chicago. I still hardly feel like I'm actually pushing thirty. Every time I think about it, I start feeling old.

Yes ma'am, Tianna! I'm mostly Irish from the Kelly family, German and Italian from the Hayes/Piparatto family. My current surname, Hessin, is very German. My daughters are a crazy stew because my husband is all kinds of different things, like German, English, Irish, Jewish, Welsh, Native American, Scottish, Polish, whatever!
On topic...hubby is 29...and I'm still nearly 25!

My hubby is almost entirely Norwegian. He still has the Americanized version of the Vegsundvaag surname. So we've joked back and forth about our violent heritages, that he's a viking and I'm a mafia girl. I have a mix of other things in me, but those three are the most prominent. I have a tinge of Cherokee, but not enough that it shows. My dad shows that big time. Even when he tans, he turns red instead of brown. And it's not a burn! I ended up with Irish skin and I don't tan at all. Hubby's coincidentally three months older than I am.
