here we go, gonna try my hand at this pseudo-science stuff
Seeker Missile
A slight change in software makes these missiles significantly more destructive. In the nose of ordinary missiles is a chip that controls its targeting capability. The Power Suit interprets data from this chip, and redirects the missile to its target, if it has moved. With the upgraded software, the Power Suit is able to keep track of, and direct, up to 5 missiles simultaneously. These may hone in on multiple targets, or only one. While agile enemies may break the target lock of the first missile, they are less likely to break lock on the second, the third, and so on. In this way, the Seeker Missile increases the strength of any arsenal of which it is part.
Because I figure, it's the same type of missile that resupplies both seekers and ordinary missiles.

Good thing I have all this info saved onto a text file. You never know when you may have to use it.

A little bit of both. Sylux wrote:Darth Naner wrote:Ha! Nobody can science-duel with Sylux.
Thanks for the support, but Mental and AMG have both been known to best me in this regard.
But no-one can make faux-science sound quite as plausible
Naner, updating the first post with the full list of logs would be good.

Boost Ball
One of the few understood ways the Morph Ball works is its propulsion system: a series of micro-repulsors all over the surface releases repulsion charges in sequence to propel the sphere in any direction. (According to the Star Wars Visual Dictionary, Droidekas work on a similar principle. But back to Metroid.) The Boost Ball is just like the Charge Beam...except the pent-up energy is released into the repulsors, causing them to more forcefully push the Morph Ball, and thus increase its speed. This is temporary of course, as the charge lasts a limited amount of time. This charge can also be used with the Spider Ball, see below for details on what happens when this feature is utilized.
Spider Ball
While the Power Suit is in its Morph Ball configuration, it gains the ability to magnetize its outer surface area. This allows it to adhere to metal surfaces. If a certain rock contains sufficient iron quantities, the Spider Ball can utilize this as well. (SR-388 is an iron-rich planet.) The original versions were so weak they required an equivalent magnet on the surface to be adhered to just to provide a solid enough connection, rails were quickly built for this purpose. (It was originally a Chozo mass-transit system.) The Boost Ball's charge-up can, in certain instances, cause a sudden, pronounced burst of magnetic power...but would also cause the magnet's polarity to invert, causing the Morph Ball to be forcefully repelled from said rail. After several unfortunate Chozo met their fates from this system, the magnet was strengthened, removing the rail requirement.
NOTE: The suit's power supplies are insufficient to magnetize the entire bipedal surface area.
Concentration
The Chozo Power Suits are designed to pull energy out of their immediate surroundings to be utilized in the powering of the suit. This process is inefficient and just barely provides enough power to the suit. However, if the user stops and allows the suit enough time to charge itself, it can restore its energy reserves in a process similar to the Charge Beam building energy up for a power shot.
Power Bombs
This weapon works on a similar principle to the Bombs described earlier. Power Bombs are known for their wide orb of destruction, utterly melting all but the toughest of objects in its blast radius. The long reload time on the Power Bombs is simply because the suit must build up the energy required to create this monstrosity of military ordnance. The energy collimator must also cool down, having been brought nearly to its melting point while assembling the unstable energy packet that would eventually become the Power Bomb.
Phazon Suit
One would think having an immensely colossal Omega Pirate dropped right onto your head would kill you. One underestimates how tough they are...and yet, at the same time, how objects can easily seep into the suit. Sometimes this is a good thing; when Phazon seeps into the armor (thanks to the aforementioned Omega Pirate), it forms a micro layer that fills in the armor plating's pores. Its energy supercharges the defensive screens, and its radiation is slightly lower than normal Phazon. So low, in fact, that it acts as a buffer between Samus and real Phazon, mainly by absorbing and releasing Phazon's radiation in such a manner that Samus is not significantly exposed to it at all.
Fusion Suit
After Samus was infected by the X Parasites, the Power Suit was effectively a barrier to the treatment of the woman within. The suit's underlayer, home to the neural-net computer that stores all the configuration data and interfaces with Samus, was infected too. The X also built a hive in the suit's outer mechanical layer, this layer would be amputated by the Federation and its hive (which stole the data from the neural-net computer) would later become the SA-X.
The neural-net layer was successfully purged of X, along with Samus herself, but the computer lost all of its memory in the process. Not that its config data was useful anyway, the hardware required to make effective use of it was sliced off.
The Federation realized that Samus had a perfectly serviceable computer and basic armor mount (aka the Zero Suit), and their engineers built a replacement to the mechanical layer previously used. They used a polymer skin, one that would allow light weight, freedom of movement, and still would emulate Samus' old components. It was a close approximation, but the lack of rigid armor, combined with the weaker knockoff tech, greatly reduced the battle capacity of the suit. Samus did eventually restore this Fusion Suit to the functionality of the Power Suit of yore. (Namely, by absorbing all the X that had had the data that had been stolen from her.)
Zero Suit
The Power Suit technologies require a high degree of man/machine synchrony. The Zero Suit was designed to act as an interface between suit and wearer, by reading various biometric signals produced by the wearer's body. This allowed the suit to, instead of using the bulky and unreliable negative-feedback pressure sensors of old, use biometrics to calculate where its user was moving his (or her!) body parts and move itself or trigger various functions accordingly. This works in two ways; the Zero Suit can also act as a dermal stimulator, allowing the suit to feed back to its user. Zero Suits are also designed for survival; should the suit fail, the Zero Suit can absorb and dissipate many energy-weapons shots and resist smaller-caliber physical shot. It also has pockets for field rations and other survival equipment. Zero Suits also, to an extent, back up the data stored in the suit's neural net, using a compression algorithm that allows it to be stored on a chip in the suit. This is limited to config data, as capacity is limited.

I'll take a stab at it. Dark Suit
The Luminoth that lived on the planet Aether developed this suit as an added layer of protection against the corrosive atmosphere of Dark Aether. This suit takes the poisonous air and absorbs as much of the toxin as it can regulate safely. However, because it absorbs the toxins, instead of dispelling them, the shielding is not perfect. Therefore, the suit immensely weakens the toxic effects, but cannot fully stop the damage taken. This was developed during the phase of the Ing war where the Luminoth were attempting the use of dark energy weapons and abilities, and was replaced by the Light suit once the Luminoth realized that light energy was much more effective against the denizens of the dark world.
Light Suit
This suit was built by the Luminoth of planet Aether to replace the semi effective Dark suit that was being used by Luminoth forces in the Ing war. This suit provides total protection from the corrosive effects of Dark Aethers atmosphere. The shield works by channeling small portions of the suits power into a small light based force field that fully encompasses the suit. However this suit, as powerful as it is, cannot provide protection from the attacks of the Ing that inhabit Dark Aether. It also lacks the supremely powerful defense and anti-radiation shields provided by the Phazon suit, and therefore cannot stop damage from Phazon radiation. Unfortunately, the Light Suit was not developed in time to be widely used in the Ing war, so Luminoth forces were not able to use this protection.
Dark Beam
This modification to the standard beam cannon allows dark energy to be collected and fired in a concentrated blast. Dark energy is drawn from the surrounding environment, concentrated and compressed within the beam cannon, and released as an energy based projectile. When used in conjunction with the charge beam, a massive amount of the dark energy is drawn into the cannon, so much that some of the compressed energy creeps up the side of the blaster as veins of dark matter. When an enemy is hit with a charged blast, they will be frozen in place by tendrils of dark energy generated by the immense excess of energy manifesting itself into physical form. During the bounty hunter Samus Aran's mission on the planet Aether, she encountered this modification. However, this being designed for Luminoth blaster weapons, it was not fully compatible with her Chozo designed blaster, and required an outside source of concentrated dark energy. This came in the form of beam ammo, that was created when an object or organism was destroyed by the light beam. When the object was destroyed, an imbalance of dark energy would form, as it was displaced by the light. The dark energy would rush back into the space, but much of the time too much would move back in. This excess would compress, and depending on the amount of excess, would restore up to 30 dark beam ammo.

Light Beam
This modification to the standard beam cannon allows light energy to be collected and fired in a concentrated blast. Light energy is drawn from the surrounding environment, concentrated and compressed within the beam cannon, and released as an energy based projectile. When used in conjunction with the charge beam, a massive amount of the light energy is drawn into the cannon, so much that some of the compressed energy shines out of the ventilation ports on the cannon as very weak Light Beacon energy. When an enemy is hit with a charged blast, they ignite because of the light energy causing extreme heat on contact. During the bounty hunter Samus Aran's mission on the planet Aether, she encountered this modification stashed away by the Ing in Dark Aether, never to be found by the Luminoth. However, this being designed for Luminoth blaster weapons, it was not fully compatible with her Chozo designed blaster, and required an outside source of concentrated light energy. This came in the form of beam ammo, that was created when an object or organism was destroyed by the dark beam. When the object was destroyed, an imbalance of light energy would form, as it was displaced by the dark. The dark energy would rush back into the space, but much of the time too much would move back in. This excess would compress, and depending on the amount of excess, would restore up to 30 light beam ammo.
Annihilator This modification to the Arm Cannon allows simultaneous use of the Light and Dark beams. This beam draws energy from both ammo caches and places it side by side. When fired, the Annihilator shoots a burst of the beams side by side, mixing them when the beams contact any surface. The beam has a homing effect taken from the Light Beam module, however it only works with un-charged shots. A strange side effect of the matter-antimatter fusion is the Echolocation ability of the Annihilator, creating a shrill noise out of Human, Aetherian, and Space Pirate hearing ranges alike. The effect of the "annihilation" on contact with living matter results in both light and dark energy being expelled in compact crystals that refill ammunition on contact.
Electro Lob The Electro Lob is a special Beam module that works somewhat similar to a kinetic/electric trebuchet. It attracts electrons from the air, supercharges them, and lobs them in the form of a kinetic sphere. When combined with the Charge Beam, the Electro Lob is fused with a Charged Power Beam to fire straight. It is capable of scrambling Visor technology.
Massive Damage/Score Damage Massive Damage is a powerup for the Arm Cannon. It boosts the damage to twice or even thrice the damage of a normal shot. It comes in the shape of a suit powerup or in a shape somewhat similar to a radioactive symbol, depending on the situation.

Aah, so no massive/score damage. Question: Is this sort of thing okay, since it IS a suit ability and CAN be used ingame with codes/debug?: Hacker Visor/Mode This add-on to the Scan Visor is an upgrade to the hacking capabilities of Samus' Power Suit. This version of the Scan Visor is a beta testing mode, sent by the Galactic Federation, to test it's abilities to redirect the enemy's armor/suit functions. When there is no more hackable data in range or the power for it runs out, the visor deactivates. It is still unstable and has yet to be used outside of training.
Death Ball/Deathalt This upgrade to the standard Morph Ball/Alternate places an antimatter field around the alternate form, sometimes portrayed as lighting and/or glowing, and is deadly on touch. This upgrade has it's own battery cell, that once depleted, deactivates the Death Ball/Deathalt. Due to the antimatter field, it is dangerous to unmorph, so unmorphing has been disabled. It is still unstable and has yet to be used outside of training.

I have a brief addendum for the wave beam explanation. The phasing nature of the beam would cause some of it's energy to pass harmlessly through the target, however, since the portion of it's energy that does hit bypasses any armor the target has, doing direct internal damage. So while the total amount of energy impacting the target is actually less than that of a non-phasing beam, the amount of critical damage is greater.

Wave Beam The unusual property of this beam upgrade is its fluctuating wave-particle feature, allowing it to pass through solid objects, depending on its density.

So while the total amount of energy impacting the target is actually less than that of a non-phasing beam, the amount of critical damage is greater. So, the Wave Beam gives an effect similar to the Kritzkrieg, with the cost of base damage?
The Wave Beam: This Beam upgrade modifies the resonance of the Beam weapon to which it is attached. The resulting shot's vibration gives the shot the ability to vibrate its way in between the atoms of solid objects. The electrical properties of this Beam upgrade are a side effect caused by friction against the electrons in the atoms it contacts. This pushes the electrons over from atom to atom, forming an electrical current.
Some iterations of this Beam weapon have been observed to travel in a sine wave instead of straight at the target, this is due to the frequency fluctuations (which not only fluctuate over time, but over the surface area of the shot itself) affecting the air's electrical charges accordingly and causing patterned electrical attractions/repulsions. Other versions of this beam attempt to correct this downside (a sine wave gun is hard to aim) by narrowing the frequency range through which the shot can vibrate, but this merely inhibits the solid object penetration properties for which this weapon was (presuably) first concieved.

Diffusion Beam: This beam packs several small capsules filled with energy into the Charge Beam. Upon impact, these capsules rapidly scatter and burst.
Omega Cannon: The Ultimate Power of the Alimblics. This weapon is powered by nuclear energy which is expelled into the surrounding area when the shot hits something. Because of the large amount of power in the Cannon, it takes a few seconds to recharge. Due to the power of this weapon to cause one to crave it's power and to go insane, the Alimblic Elders locked it away in the Oubilette.
The Morph Ball is a nickname for the Meditation Mode Morph Module, or the 4M. This component transforms Samus's body into energy, allowing her mind to be free of fleshly distractions. The Power Suit is then compacted into two half-spheres that store the energy. Samus's senses function as an out-of-body experience, allowing her to watch her movements from the outside. By usage of the interface modules on the two sides of the 4M, which are directly connected with both Samus and the Morph Ball, her energy and bomb count can be displayed in her field of vision and she can utilize weapons made for the 4M. This upgrade is often utilized for it's small size, giving Samus the ability to navigate tunnels too small for an ordinary person to infiltrate. When and if the Power Suit's energy is depleted, the suit is destroyed and the energy of Samus is scattered in the surrounding area. The Space Pirates attempts to reverse engineer the Morph Ball have resulted in failure to convert to energy, failure to unmorph, and even failure in the all-terrain driving of the Morph Ball.
