The return of Toonami

Postby gigatravis » 04.01.12 11:43am

Did anyone else on the board catch the April Fools Day showing of Toonami last night? Even if it was just for one night, it was GLORIOUS. So much nostalgia.

Why does Cartoon Network do this to us? Why don't they bring it back for good instead of teasing us like this?

Still, it was good nostalgia. Too bad I missed it because of my lack of cable/satellite TV.

I missed it too, Azure.

Cartoon Network shouldn't fool us like that-- even if it's April Fools Day.

The loyal fans earned a 'Toonami' come-back and they should seriously consider putting it back on the air.
IMO: It was the best shows they offered, with all the awesome anime and cartoons I loved. That robot-guy was cool too.

Man, I don't even have TV service, and I feel trolled by CN by the thought of something that was cool about the channel making a comeback. Assholes.

Ahh! OMG I really wish they would! I miss Toonami so much! They really did have a lot of good stuff on there. I used to love looking forward to the back to back DBZ episodes that they had on for a bit, and of course all of the other really good ones they had later on!

Sweet [EXPLETIVE DELETED]! I never thought I'd see the day. Hell, I may well start watching my anime on TV again.

So... how was Toonami? Missed it myself. Completely forgot about it. My schedule's just not conducive to anything I can't watch "on demand" such as it were. Why I use my computer for everything. Anything I want, whenever I want it.

So chime in! Pros? Cons?

I haven't seen the new Toonami yet but all I can say is DBZ better come back. So much childish nostalgia, can't wait

I really don't like that Adult Swim still interrupts Toonami sometimes with it's shorts and interludes, not to mention the AS logo in the right corner. Can't we have Toonami unadulterated? The rest was pretty good with a great line-up of shows and a cool game review. I do hope that Toonami actually makes some new animations though. The classic nostalgic ones are nice for now, but I would like to see them continue expanding and not just show the old stuff.
