Nope. It needs two or three regular missiles. Only Cordite material needs a super missile.

Pretty much wandered the ruins and overworld until I figured out I had to missile the door that would lead to the Morph Ball.
It did not occour to me to scan those signs, which kept me from getting the charge beam for a while.
Somehow I did not see the platform with the mushroom things growing on it in that room between a Save Room and the Charge Beam room.
You have no idea how happy I was to finally get the bombs.

I had 99% of all items and have been looking everywhere for that last missile tank. Turned out I had missed the one in the lake in front of the crashed frigate. Talk about missing something in plain sight. -_-;

I like how some are real explorers. I bought the game along with the console (GCN) when it was smoking fresh, but I also bought the Brady Games guide...
So when I got stuck, I referred to the guide. I'm like that with all games. I'm so impatient.

Either way, I had to lol about your post, since I myself forgot that same expansion the other day.
But what is worse, I had also forgotten a scan in Phendrana. I am a total completest, so I want all scans and items, even if I know I don't need it/them.

Heck, in Echoes I even scan all the other stuff that doesn't go into the log book. Everything must look green through Samus's scan visor. <3

This thread is older, but the topic will never die.

My most epic fail: I got pissed at my controller and threw it on the ground, broke the movement stick (GameCube controller, the gray stick, not the C-Stick), but didn't wanna quit playing. Problem? I'm rooted to the spot (except for jumps) and have to jump to get the reticule in a position to lock onto the Hive Mecha I was facing. I had to just shoot randomly at the Ram War Wasps, but the battle wasn't too hard. However, I was unable to get the Missile Launcher because I couldn't move.

I later bought a new controller and challenged my sister to a Deathmatch on MP2. I gave her the good one and I took the broken one. I still managed to own her.

More fail? Got destroyed by the Dark Grenchlers in Dark Torvus Subterranean. Got owned by Weavel in Hunters after freaking out over his Halfturret form. Also in Hunters, got gang-raped by the Guardians AND Sylux in the Combat Hall. Sylux's whole matchup is a fail; he is weak the the Imperialist. The IMPERIALIST. A sniper weapon. HE DOESN'T STAND STILL ENOUGH TO BE HIT WITH THAT!

Let's see. Oh! Here's a few moments that made me feel embarrassed afterward:

Metroid Prime: Fighting Thardus for the first time. Caused my first death in the game. Then the Omega Pirate. Took me half an hour to kill him on my first playthrough.

Metroid Prime 2: Fighting either the Boost Guardian or Mutated Emperor Ing. EVERY time I fight them...

Metroid Prime 3: THE ENTIRE GAME ON HYPERMODE. If only when you fight Space Pirates or Mogenar, but DAMN I hate fighting enemies that can mimic your powers effectively (Hypermode anyone?).

Metorid Other M: The Queen Metroid boss fight. Seeing a pattern here folk?
It's all bosses!
That was the ONLY time in the Metroid series where I had to consult a guide just to finish the game. And it happened AGAIN when fighting MB!
Be not proud of what you make, but what impact it leaves on others.
If a fucking horseshoe crab is nearly killing you in one hit, there's something wrong with this "incredibly powerful" bounty hunter.
