Re: What are you playing/what have you purchased?Get a 3DS. A DSi would be a SERIOUS waste of money.

Re: What are you playing/what have you purchased?Steam Sales, oh god not what I need after expensive holiday (or maybe it is?). Skyrim (finally), Beyond Good and Evil (even though have GC version that not played), Psychonauts and the Thief collection. I assume there will be more by end of week on that list.

Re: What are you playing/what have you purchased?Still more Legend of Kage 2 for the DS... Playing Kage's boring mode... the game just doesn't feel as fun without Chihiro's amazing combo-racking fundo where I regularly get combos up in the 30s and 40s. With Kage I'm lucky to get a 20-hit combo; things usually break up after 15 because his shurikens are so DAMN slow.
Also played a bit of Bust-a-Move 4 last night on my dreamcast. The game has that type of cutesy anime style that i really like in games, with a sense of silliness and whimsy. The puzzles are all top notch fun, too. But you feel like such an idiot when mess up (even though they're really tough!) because after you fail the game gives you a baby guideline to line up your shots. I am actually contemplating getting Mr. Driller: Driller Spirits for the DS for some short classic Dig Dug-esque puzzle action. Plus it has that same type of aesthetic feel I mentioned. As well, since the Wii is on its way out, I've been looking to pick up some obscure games at bargain prices: -Octomania(puzzle) - cute game with some astoundingly bad voice-acting -Ghost Squad (SEGA light-gun shooter) -NY Gunblade and LA Machineguns 2pack (SEGA light-gun) - no one can quite make great arcade games like sega. These cheap games are sure to be a blast if you loved the excellent House of the Dead: Overkill. And if you didn't, then well, you are an idiot. -Milestone Shooting Collection 2 (shmup) - Milestone's slick, stylish, and hip cel-shaded shooters find their home on the Wii. The first collection was released here as Ultimate Shooting Collection, containing Karous, Chaos Field, and Radio Allergy (aka Radirgy). The JPN-only Milestone Shooting Collection 2 has those three games, plus Ilvello and Radirgy Noa, so I think that would be the better buy. You just need to know how to play imports on your wii (an incredibly easy feat - the Wii is the easiest console by far to softmod). -Castle of Shikigami 3 (shmup) - a series legendary for its horrendous VA (this vid is not so bad, but it's pretty silly) gets of all things, a wii port. Looks great, and looks like it plays great too. Perfect for those that want their bullet-hell fix. a pretty solid list of games for the wii, considering how barren its playscape is these days.

Re: What are you playing/what have you purchased?Sorry, I was a bit under a rock these days. But now I've claimed my Mario-themed playing cards. And on the topic of the thread, going to the US obviously means going to a GameStop and spending lots of money, so I bought a small mountain of Wii, DS and PS3 games. That I have to get through... Sometime. The one I've been playing the most is Pokémon Conquest. Loads of in-flight fun. Tell me about it... |

Why did you play it if you hated it? "I am tired of being under the weight of greedy men who don't believe in anything."
